They all sang, screaming 'til their throats hurt. Maddi, Chase, and Katie all we're riding down I-40 in Maddi's Chevy Malibu she bought from her parents. Chase was driving, and Maddi was in the back with the stuff that wouldn't fit in the trunk. They and been on the road for 2 days now, heading for LA. They were all a band, just the three of them. They called themselves the Rejects, since they thought it suited them. They were headed to LA to hopefully boost their bands fame and get noticed.

"We're in Cali!!!" Katie said while Chase started humming the tune to Katy Perry's 'California Girls'. They all sang, while Maddi did guitar, Chase played the bass, and Katie rocked the drums. Maddi started singing with Chase while Katie tapped the beat on her leg. This had happened the whole trip, them just randomly breaking into song. They mostly did covers, but they had started writing a few songs.

"Guys, it's getting late. Do you think we should stop for the night? We could probably be there by tomorrow afternoon if we stop now." Katie said, leaning her head against the window. Chase nodded and pulled onto the exit. They parked in a Hilton and grabbed their duffels, walking inside. There was a big commotion in the hotel, but they couldn't see what was going on.

Once they got out of the crowd, Maddi walked up to the service desk, and asked the manager for a room for 3. "I apologize to all you ladies for the commotion, I'm afraid we have some special guests staying with us, and its getting out of hand." "Its fine," Maddi replied, and took their key.

They got out of the crowd and into the elevator, pressing the button for their floor. "I wonder what 'special guests' are here" Katie said, "its not like it's a 5 star hotel or anything." "Its probably just no one, a birthday party or something" Chase replied. They got off the elevator and walked out into the carpeted hallway. "Room 713, 715, 717, ah! 719! FOUND IT GUYS!" Maddi called out from down the hallway.

Chase unlocked the door and they walked inside, setting there bags down. "I am exhausted." Chase said, flopping on one of the twin beds. "Guys, I'm gonna get a shower." Katie said, and took her stuff in the tiny bathroom.

"Wow Chase, just think. A couple more hours and we'll be in LA. Maybe things will really work out for us here." Maddi got up and sat down beside Chase, who was on her phone. Chase put it down and sat up. "Yeah. I mean, we've made it this far. We have some money, and we can always do gigs at shops and stuff. Maybe this is our chance to leave behind our baggage and move forward, ya know?" "Yeah, I see what you mean."

Maddi hugged Chase, then got up. "You hear that?" Maddi cocked her head to the side, and listened. "I don't hear anything" Chase said, then picked up her phone again. Maddi walked over to the bathroom door, then motioned for Chase to do the same. Maddi pulled out her phone, then pressed it to the door recording what she heard.

"I wish that I could wake up with Amnesia, and forget about the stupid little things. Like the way it field to fall asleep next to you, and the memories I never can escape, cause I'm not fine at all." Katie sang, not knowing that Maddi and Chase were right there, listening to her every word. Chase giggled and went back to her bed, and Maddi out her phone back in her pocket, smirking.

They were all just laying in bed, on their phones, when a loud CRASH sounded from outside. They all sat up and looked at each other, when they heard laughing and running down the hall. "What in the world was that?" Maddi got up and walked to the door, looking in the peephole. "I'm gonna go see what that was all about, obviously people can't read a fricking 'Do Not Disturb' sign." Maddi grumbled, walking out the door. When she walked down the hallway, she saw two teenage boys pushing the rolley chairs found in the rooms down the hallway while two other boys sat in the chairs, and a painting had fallen to the floor, its frame broken.

"Excuse me!?" Maddi called out, walking towards the boys. "Some people are trying to sleep here." She crossed her arsm over her chest and glared at them. There were four boys in general, and they looked about 19-20ish. Maddi, Katie, and Chase were all 18, but Maddi and Chase were short for their age, so they looked about 17.

The tallest one looked at Maddi, smirking. "Well, we were told this floor wasn't occupied, so its not really our fault." He had an Australian accent, and Maddi immediately knew who he was. Luke Hemmings, from 5 Seconds of Summer. He rolled to her in his chair, stopping at her feet. Her hands started shaking, so she crossed her arms tighter and huffed. "Well can you at least be a little quieter? Some of us actually need sleep and aren't born beautiful"

She slepped her hand to her mouth and cursed herself. Did she really just say that? As soon as it slipped, she turned around and Katie and Chase were walking towards her. "How about we just go back to bed?" Chase said steering her away from the now laughing band. Maddi nodded her head, her face flushed and a bright red color.

Luke just smirked more, as if to rub it in her face. "Okay. Goodnight, gorgeous." He winked and rolled away, back too his friends, who were still laughing. Maddi just shook her head and walked back into her room, completely mortified.
