Weightless by All Time Low

Maddi giggled as she spun around and around, until Luke caught her. They were dancing to some fast beat song at the club, and she wasn't even tired. Michael kept hanging around them, on his phone. "Hey guys, do you mind if Molly comes for a bit?"

"Yeah, that's fine." Luke said as he intertwined his fingers with Maddi's. "I wanna meet her. Is she nice?" Maddi asked, smiling at Luke.

Michael and Luke looked at Maddi and bursted out laughing. "She's the opposite of nice. She's vain and rude and I honestly can't understand how Michael puts up her." Luke said.

"I'm only doing it because of management. And I get paid extra." Michael winked and glanced at his phone again. "I'm gonna wait outside. She's on her way now."

Michael walked away, and Luke whispered in Maddi's ear. "Wanna convince the bartender to get us a drink?" Maddi nodded and smiled, dragging him over to the bar.

Luke slapped his hand on the counter, signaling the bartender. "Two beers please." The bartender glared at Luke, obviously agitated.  "Are you 21?" Luke smirked.

"No, but I'm Luke Hemmings." The bartender rolled his eyes. "Sorry. No ID, no drinks." Luke huffed and walked off with Maddi following behind. "Hey, maybe Ashton can get us drinks! He looks 21!" Luke smiled and pulled her closer. "Yeah. Good idea, let's go ask him."

They walked over to their table, and when they got there, Ashton was holding a crying Katie. "Katie!! Katie? Are you okay? Whats wrong? Who hurt you? I swear I'm gonna slap someone. Who is it?" Katie's bottom lip trembled at she looked up, leaving a soaked spot on Ashtons shirt.

Maddi looked at Katie, and recognized the look in her eyes. That look of hurt and betrayal was prominent, and Maddi knew only one person who ever caused that look in her eyes. Maddi huffed and pulled out her phone and pulled up a contact she thought she'd never use again.

"I'm calling him. Okay? I'm gonna get this all worked out." Katie shook her head vigorously. "No, no. Maddi please don't. No. Just leave it. Please no." Maddi looked at Katie and locked her phone, slipping it in her purse. "Fine."

"Uhm, Katie sort of broke her phone in the parking lot, I'm gonna go get her a new one, okay? I'll just grab us a cab." Ashton said. Katie tried to object but Ashton pressed a finger to her lips. "No. I'm paying, end of discussion." Katie nodded her head and got up, wiping her eyes one last time.

Maddi hugged her tightly. "You'll be okay." She whispered. Katie nodded and walked out the door with Ashton, when Michael and a girl walked in.

The girl was average height, with brown straight hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a very revealing dress with heels, and was walking as if she was on a runway.

"Michael, you should've worn your other Green Day shirt. This one has holes. I mean, were in public! And your hair needs to be redone. The blue is fading." Molly ranted on and in while Michael walked towards Maddi and Luke.

"So, Molly, this is my friend Maddi. She's in a band." Molly smiled at Maddi, but the smile didn't reach her eyes. "Nice to meet you!" Maddi chirped.

Molly glanced at Michael and pulled him away, leaving Maddi and Luke standing there. "Well." Maddi said, clearly offended.

Luke rolled his eyes. "That's nice for her." Maddi widened her eyes. "I know, I can't stand her. Wanna go dance?" Luke asked, intertwining their fingers. Maddi smiled and nodded. "I'd love to"
Luke pulled them out on the dance floor as they bobbed their heads to the beat. Bills by Lunchmoney Lewis came on and Maddi laughed at Luke's messed up version. "I GOT BILLS, I GOTTA PAY. SO IMMA TWERK TWERK TWERK EVERYDAY. I GOT MOUTHS, I GOTTA FEED. SO IMMA MAKE SURE EVERYBODY DRINKS. I GOT BILLS." He belted to the top of his lungs.

Maddi clutched her stomach and grabbed a chair to steady herself. Once she had calmed down, she looked over at Michael, to see if he noticed. He was talking to Molly, and it looked like they were arguing. The argument got more heated, and their voices kept getting louder, until Maddi could hear them from where she was at.

"No! He's immature! I mean, who does that? We are at a classy, sophisticated place and your bandmate screams at the top of his lungs! And that girl, she just laughed!" Molly was straining to make herself heard, and soon enough most of the people were staring.

"I can't control was Luke does Molly. If he wants to yell, let him. Don't get so worked up over this. I mean, we're at a bar. I'm a sure they've seen much, much worse." Michael was trying to keep calm, but he had to yell due to the overly loud music.

"Michael!! How dare you talk to me that way!!" Molly screamed. By now the music had shut off, and all eyes were on the fighting couple.

Michael rolled his eyes. "Molly, I've been wanting to do this for a really long time, so I'm doing it now. I don't have feelings for you, never have, never will. I hate the way you walk around like you own the place, and I hate your stupid little friends with their snobby attitudes. I'm breaking up with you, and I hope I never, never ever, see your ugly face again." Michael smiled at the end of his little soliloquy, while Molly stomped her foot on the ground, breaking a heel in the process.

She grabbed her heel and stormed off, muttering to herself. As soon as she walked out the door, the whole bar clapped and cheered. Michael smiled and did a playful bow, while the bartender popped open a beer and slid it across the bar.

Maddi laughed and Luke clapped Michael on the back. "You did good man." Michael laughed and drank his beer, feeling like he dumped a huge weight off his chest.

"Ashton and Katie are on their way back to our apartment, Katie's got her new phone." Chase said, reading from her phone. Calum pulled out of the bar parking lot, and onto the main highway. After finding Chase and Calum stuck in a corner, talking, Luke had convinced them to go home. They'd stayed at the bar way longer than intended, and Maddi was tired.

Maddi leaned her head against Lukes shoulder in the backseat, closing her eyes. Luke looked out the window at the cars passing by, lost in his thoughts.

Calum and Michael talked a little about what what went down between him and Molly, and Calum laughed when he heard the part a Molly breaking her shoe.

Soon enough, Calum pulled the car into their apartment complex. Luke looked over at Maddi, sound asleep, and smiled. He pulled out a Sharpie he always kept with him for autographs and softly wrote on the back of Maddi's hand- Will you be mine? -Luke
