Maya's Pov

I chat with my friends as we sit in homeroom, waiting for classes to start. I can't help but notice Skylar though. She keeps staring at... Jeana? From the looks of it, that's how I see it.

I watch in the corner of my eye as she quietly excuses herself from the group of students and walks over to us.

"Hi." She chirps, eyeing my friend.

Jeana turns around by surprise. "Oh, hey Skylar. What's up?"

"I was just wondering if you wanted to come hang out with us?" She asks, hopeful.

Jeana gives me a strange glance and turns back go the girl. "Oh, I-I'm good here. Would you like to join us?"

Skylar smiles at her and then to me, but the one she gave me was more of a rude look. "That's alright. Can I have your snapchat? Or your number maybe?"

"Umm, sure?" She replies with a slightly uncomfortable giggle. She reads her snapchat out loud to her.

"Great, I'll snap you!" She chirps as she leaves our group.

"Umm?" I question.

"That was weird." Jack chuckles.

Sam and Jeana nod. "I don't know why she showed a sudden interest in me?"

I feel a hint of jealousy. Skylar was my best friend before, and now she's treating me like rubbish and going for my current best friend. Our teacher walks in the room to teach maths before I could say anything else.

Through lunch, Skylar was still eyeing Jeana. Throughout the whole day she was. She notices me watching her watch my friend, she she shoots me a dirty glare. I do the same and roll my eyes.

She makes her way over to us with a charming hair flip and stops in front of Jeana.

"Hey, it's me again."

Jeana turns, slightly annoyed this time. Good.

"Hello Skylar, do you need something?"

"Yes," she smiles. "Wanna eat lunch together?"

"...sure." She replies, obviously annoyed. "If you eat with us."

Her smile turns to a frown as she looks over at me, but smiles again anyways. "Sure, whatever you'd like, buddy."

We all go silent as we eat. Skylar breaks the awkwardness.

"So, I watch you guys on youtube. You're really funny."

"Thanks." They all say in unison. She doesn't look my way at all, just over at the other three.

"Sam, I love your dare videos. You look like a little, cuter Dan." She smiles gently.

Sam blushes, and I feel the rage burn my cheeks. "Th-thanks." He smiles.

"And Jack, you are so funny. I'm shocked that you don't have more subscribers than you already do." She compliments.

"Oh wow, thanks Skylar." He chuckles.

"And lets not talk about this one over here!" She chirps. I look up, but she was talking about Jeana.

"What about me?" She questions, laughing.

"What not about you?" Skylar laughs. "Your videos are topnotch, amazing, perfect!"

"Whoa, thankyou." She replies with a smile.

I shake my head in anger, surprised how they are all giving into this bullshit. She's obviously faking all of it. I don't know what her plan is, but its annoyingly working on these fools.
