" . . . . . . and she kissed him gently and that was the last page of the story."

I wiped my sweat from my forehead as I closed my laptop. I just finished another book and I'm unexplainably tired.

My bedside clock says it's already 3:30 a.m. and I am way past bed time. But I didn't seem to be any sleepy at all. I lay wide awake on my bed and stare at the dark ceiling until my eyes adjust to the darkness.

My mind wanders to a trance of thoughts. I caught glance of the poster on the wall and I smiled. I grabbed my phone and play my favorite song. In the middle of it, I fall asleep.

"ireun achimbuteo
naegen neomuna eosaekhan
Umm jongiwa peneul kkeonae
deureo gipi samkyeonwadeon
mareul dama nae . . . . . . "

KRIINGGGG!
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I am a bit sleepy but I brushed it all aside. Today is the big day. I quickly get washed. The cold water pricked my back like frozen needles.

This old dorm needs a maintenance check. The hot water is not running and at times when you needed it most. It was exceptionally cold here at this time of the year.

As expected, it was colder outside. I wrapped my arms around myself as I walk down the streets to the bus stop. I must catch one in 5 minutes or I'll be late for my appointment.

Luckily, the bus arrived in time, although I had to stand for about four blocks until I get to sit beside a young girl. I think she might be in middle school. Although she had earphones plugged in her ears, I could hear the music. Seventeen, I thought to myself.
It had been years since I last heard about them. They were huge stars and I was a fan when I was in college. I had to admit, I still listen to their songs now.

I just love them and it hurts to realize that I barely had time to check on them and see how they're doing. I waved my hand in front of the girl beside me to catch her attention. She looked up, shocked.

I asked her about how Seventeen is doing today and she said that they are about to end contract and about to be disbanded weeks from now.

I'm sad that they're about to end contract but also happy that they'd go live their lives the way they please and they could enjoy a more ordinary life - away from the lights of the cameras.

The bus stopped in a curb. I get off and walked through a sea of people in the busy streets. I entered a small café where I would meet the publisher of the book I wrote.

I sat there watching all the people on the streets pass by. The waiter asked if he could bring me a cup of coffee and I said no. I don't drink coffee and that's the reason I don't like cafes. I wish the publisher would show up soon.

Three minutes later, the publisher showed up. Thankfully, he liked the book. As I rode the bus going home, I can't keep but smiling. I was so happy that my book will be published.

I saw a familiar street sign and I asked the bus driver to let me off. As clearly as I remembered, this is the way to Daehak-ro Marrioner Park.

This is where I first saw Seventeen. I walked past a bunch of kids playing and my eyes are glued to them that I accidentally bumped into someone. I was completely dazed out.

The person I bumped into fell on the ground. I quickly help picking things up. I think I said sorry about ten times now. But upon seeing the person I bumped into, my eyes widened.
