The Jealous Me...Again (40)

Maaga kaming nagbiyahe ni Jade papuntang Batangas. Hinatid ko siya sa brewery nila but I didn't stay long sabi ko sunduin ko na lang siya pag uwi pero bago pa ako nakaalis sa lugar nakita ko na ang paparating na sasakyan. At tama ang kutob ko, si Charlie Chaplin nga. Ang dami ko ng pweding itawag sa kanya.

Pero bago pa ako tuluyang mainis, nagring ang phone ko. "Lovelove don't let your jealousy drive you to insanity, baka hindi ka makarating ng maayos sa rest house natin. I love you. Drive safely and see you later." hindi na ako nakasagot dahil naibaba na niya ang tawag. I just smiled and sighed. How she made me feel secured last night was amazing and her every word touches my whole being. She's really my home.

"What?!" takang tanong ni Charlie. "Are you sure, why the sudden change of mind?" dagdag pa niya.

"Ano ka ba Charlie, as if you need a business partner, you can have your own bar and I can just deliver you beers, basta exclusive lang mga beers ko sa bar mo." natatawa kong sabi.

"And besides I didn't say yes pa nga d ba?"

"But I need someone I can trust para sa business ko dito alam mo naman I can't stay long here." paliwanag niya.

"I'm not your only friend Charlie."

"But you're the only one I can trust, Jade."

"We're not even bestfriends, Charlie."

"Ayaw ba niya?"

"What do you mean?"

"You're married, right?"

"Nagbago desisyon mo dahil ayaw niya."

"Sarili ko tong desisyon, nobody can dictate me, alam mo yan Charlie." paliwanag ko, nakita kong bumagsak ang balikat niya.

"Ok but I won't give up, I'll still give you my revised proposals, if you don't mind?"

"Ok if that's what you want, but I can't assure you anything, Charlie."

"He's a lucky guy."

"Who?"

"Your husband."

"Not really." sagot ko

"What do you mean?" pero hindi na ako sumagot, not really because she is my wife not my husband sagot ko na lang sa isip ko. "I know he is not David, because I saw him without a wedding ring."

"Chismoso ka na pala ngayon?" i chided him, but he just smiled.

"So?hindi mo ba siya ipapakilala?"

"Soon!"

"How soon?"

"Wow! I can't believe you're that interested in my personal life!"

"Oh, I'm sorry Jade."

"No worries. So? Any plans for the rest of the day?"

"Do you?"

"Yes, I'll be going somewhere?"

"To your husband?"

"No?!" not my husband bulong ko nanman sa sarili ko

Pareho na kaming nagtatawanan ng tumunog ang phone ko. Nagmessage si Althea.

"I'm starving Love, I know it's really late for lunch but I just ate banana."

Biglang nagbago ang mukha ko

"Ahm, sorry Charlie. I think I really need to go."

"Wife duty ba?"

"Sort of." maikling sagot ko.
