The first few months after Jeremiah being born was the hardest on Marissa and Spencer. Marissa was plagued with fatigue and Spencer has been sleeping like a baby.

"Why can't you get up with the baby? Why do I always have to be the one to get up with him?" Marissa yells while throwing Jeremiahs 4th bottle of the night.

"Because I actually work, unlike your lazy ass." Spencer bends down and picks up the bottle.

"Excuse me?" Marissa stares at Spencer with wide eyes.

"You heard me."

Marissa storms out of the kitchen to their bedroom and begins grabbing clothes. She mumbles obscurities under her breath while throwing clothes into a suitcase. She walks to the baby's nursery and picks up her son and his diaper bag and her suitcase and walks out the room, to the front door.

"Where do you think you are going?" Spencer stops her.

"Leaving." She opens the door and shuts it gently, as if not to wake her sleeping baby boy. She gets into her car and drives to her aunts house.
When she arrives JJ looks at her and tells her to go home to her man.
"He was being rude and I need sleep and called me lazy for not working when I always stay home with the baby, why can't he get up and change his diaper or feed him in the middle of the night?"  She sighs as she sits on the bed in the guest room.
"I know but running away isn't going to help anything, it'll make it worse and you two have a baby together, the last thing you'd want is for you guys to separate and leave Jer with separated parents, you know how hard it was for you to not have parents and that's like what it would be like." JJ tries to prove her point to Marissa and kind of guilt tripping her.

"I know I should just go home but he never helps and then just gets mad." Marissas sighs

"I know my sweet girl but just go home, I'll come check on you tomorrow."

So Marissa goes home to Spencer and he's sitting on the couch crying.
"I'm sorry Marissa I don't mean to be angry at you, it's just this is all so rough, and I don't know how to handle it." He cries

"Wow something Spencer Reid can't process?" She giggles bouncing her baby on her hip. She walks to the kitchen.

"I think we should separate for a little while."
"We need some time apart, so we can get our heads together." She continues.
Before he can utter a word the door opens to revel JJ, who has packed bags in her hands.
"Hello, I'm on babysitting duty, I've noticed you two have been having some trouble in your relationship lately so  i booked you guys a cabin in the woods where you'll be forced to spend time together, there are bags in the car for both of you, now get out of here."
Spencer and Marissa look at her like she's insane as she pushes them out the door so they can leave. Marissa gives her baby boy a kiss on the head and tells him she loves him and Spencer says goodbye as well.
They get into the car and Marissa drives them to a GPS location and they sit in awkward silence the whole car ride.

As quiet as he can utter he says "Do you really think we should separate?"

"No, it was just I get angry with you because you act like I'm just being lazy but with you at work I'm constantly at home taking care of our baby, I get up in the middle of the night when he cries and I change him and I feed him, but what do you do? You go to work yeah but you could have taken a paternity leave like I did but you chose to go back to work so you don't get to get mad at me for being angry when you don't stay up late in the night and barley get any sleep. I barley even get to see you." She pulls the car into a cabin area and gets out with her bags.
He doesn't say anything as they walk to the cabin with the set of keys from the car.
"Well here goes nothing." He says. They get everything settled into their room and Marissa is sitting at the island in the kitchen and he comes to stand behind her with his hands on her hips.
"I think we should get back to how we were before Jer so we can find our balance again." He says in her ear. She smiles slightly. And mutters one word.

"Maybe..."
