Marissa woke up the next morning feeling depressed. She wished she was on the case but for some reasons she wasn't allowed to be. She dug around in her bed trying to find her phone, she doesn't charge it at night so most nights it rolls around in the bed with her. The spot next to her was empty and she wished more than anything that Spencer had been there, but she'd get there sooner or later. Today was the day they would go look at furniture. She opened the text from Spencer that was sent at 5:30 this morning. Why was he always up so early she wondered.

She swung her feet off the side of her bed to meet the floor and pushed herself up so she was standing. After a quick stretch and a yawn, she began to move about. She went to the kitchen and turn the coffee pot on and went to the bathroom to wash her face off.

She looked up as the water ran down her face. She smiled at herself as her phone began to ring.

"Spencer." She smiles a little wider.

"Hey Spencer what's up."

"Just wondering if you were up yet, I've been up for a little while. I could sleep. Do you want me to bring you some coffee?" He rambles on causing that stupid smile to stay on Marissa's face.

"I just put on a pot of coffee but if you'd like to come over and wait for me to get ready you're more than welcome to." She says.

"Okay I'll be right over." He says ending the call.

Less than 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door.

"Wow that was fast."

"Yeah I have kind of been sitting in the parking lot for the last hour." He blushes.

Marissa holds open the door so Spencer can walk through. They walk through aisles of boxes lining the walls of the living room.

"This is a really nice apartment Marissa. It's very spacious."

"Yeah I just get lonely. I'm thinking of getting a roommate."

"But there's only one room."

Marissa stays silent waiting for him to catch on.

"Oh you mean me?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Yes Spencer. How would you like to move in here with me?"

"That'd be nice but I'm still going to keep my apartment if you don't mind Incase something goes work with us." He begins to ramble.

"That's fine, let me get dressed and we can go look at furniture." She grabs her cup of coffee and heads to the bathroom to get ready.

25 minutes later Marissa emerges, she curled her hair and did her makeup and as she walked up to the closet to pick out something to wear she hears Spencer call for her.

"One minute. I'm getting dressed."

She walks out of the bathroom surprised to see Spencer with a gun to his head.

Thoughts of panic raced through her head. She couldn't think straight, her eyes filled with tears as the one she loved lay in harms way right in front of her. Panicked she passes out
