Once everyone got back to the facility, they approached me carefully like I was a piece of glass about to shatter.Vision put his arm out in front of me protectively.
"Vision, we aren't going to hurt her." Natasha said.
"I know that, but Wanda is in a fragile state right now. Anything you say might set her off." Vision replied.
"I can handle it..." I whispered.
"Vision is right Wanda. I can see it in your eyes. You're not in the right state of mind." Steve looked at me with a sad expression.
I shook my head. "I'm fine."
"Wanda, maybe you should go get some rest." Sam spoke up.
I clenched my fists and squeezed my eyes shut. I could feel my hex burning through my veins. It wanted out. It wanted to be released again and be a mass of destruction.
"Come on, kid..." Clint whispered. He stretched his hand out and as soon as I felt his fingers on my shoulder, my eyes snapped open. I could feel the color surge through them and drown out the brown. They were pure scarlet.
He barely had enough time to snatch his hand back before I released all of my hex out into the open again. Steve grabbed Natasha and jumped behind the couch. Sam shielded himself with his wings. Tony, Rhodes and Clint were blasted back by the force of my hex. It kept flowing out of me and I just let it. Tony and Rhodes were slammed into a wall while Clint flew through the glass window and fell onto the lawn. I suddenly realized that Clint fell 15 feet out of the window.
I grasped all of my hex and it surged back into me.
"Clint!" I cried out.
I ran to the window and flew down to where he was, controlling my hex as best as I could.
He was lying down on the ground and I could see that he was in pain.
Vision flew down to us and he held me back while Natasha and Steve joined us.
"Clint...I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to..." I whispered.
"His shoulder is dislocated. I don't think anything else is wrong but I'm not entirely sure." Steve told Nat.
Clint and I locked eyes. I let the tears slip down my cheeks. I yanked myself away from Vision and flew back up into the facility and ran all the way to my room.
"Wanda!" Vision called after me.
I ignored him and slammed my door shut.
What have I done?
I'm a weapon of destruction...
I'm nothing but a...monster.
I'm all alone in this world...my parents are gone, Pietro is gone, Bucky is...gone.
They all are. The Avengers aren't my family...they never will be.
I crawled into my bed and cried myself to sleep.
I woke up around six in the morning. I knew no one was awake. Steve might be, but he's probably out on a run. I got dressed quietly and opened my window. I slipped out onto the roof and used my hex to fly down to the ground. I peered around the corner of the building and didn't see anyone patrolling. I inhaled and exhaled slowly, then I made a break for it.
I had hailed a cab and made it to Times Square. The sight was just as beautiful as it was the first time I saw it. I sat down on a bench and just took in everything. When I had looked at my watch, it was half past nine o'clock. Had I really been sitting here that long? It didn't matter. I wasn't going back to the facility after what I did. None of the Avengers didn't want to see me probably. They all think I'm a monster. Tony does, anyway.
I decided to just walk around Upstate New York and see what I've been missing. As I was walking, my phone started to go off. I looked and saw I had a lot of text messages from Steve, Natasha, Sam and even Tony. They were worried about me and wanted to know where I was. I turned my phone off and continued my stroll down a busy sidewalk. I came to a corner and suddenly, someone grabbed me and put their hand over my mouth and dragged me down a dark and deserted alley. I struggled against the person but the person was way too strong. I used my hex and zapped them.
When they fell back, I whipped around and came face to face with Bucky. I staggered backwards a little. "Bucky...?" I whispered.
He seemed dazed but answered...normally. "Yesterday...when you hit everyone with your powers...something happened to me."
I noticed instantly that he wasn't the aggressive Winter Soldier. "What do you mean?" I asked slowly.
He hesitated for a second. "I'm back to normal...I think. Some things are still a little fuzzy but...I remember everyone."
He's back to normal...
It feels like my heart is jumping out of my chest. I want to reach out and touch him...but I'm afraid to.
"Bucky..." I whispered out. Tears were already forming in my eyes.
"Wanda." He breathed out. He reached out and grabbed me and held me in a tight embrace. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Bucky...I did something awful." I mumbled into his shoulder.
He stroked my hair with his hand. "It'll be over soon."
I pulled back and looked him in the eyes. "What do you mean?"
He didn't say anything for a few seconds and then finally replied. "I'm sorry, Maximoff."
As I started to answer, I felt a sharp pain erupt throughout my entire body. I fell to the ground and let out a scream of pain. Before I lost consciousnesses, I saw Bucky take something off of his face which revealed someone who wasn't Bucky at all.
