Chapter 11: The Winter Soldier

Amell paced back and forth. He had too many plans he could go through with, but didn't know which one.

"Sir, if we're going to extract the Inhumans, we need to now."

Amell looked at his soldiers and shook his head. "Change of plans, Dmitri. I've decided that we don't need the Inhumans. Besides, I don't want S.H.I.E.L.D. on our tail. They don't need to know what we're doing. Not just yet."

Dmitri nodded slowly. "What do you need us to do?"

Amell hesitated and rubbed his chin. "Bring in the Soldier."

Dmitri nodded again and barked orders at the other men. Soon, Bucky was pushed into the room while held at gun point.

Amell let out a laugh. "Easy boys! This man here is your superior. Ease up on the firepower."

Dmitri nodded to all his men and they put their guns away.

Bucky was standing up straight and he looked at Amell dead in the eye.

"When Hydra found you all those years ago, you were nearly dead. We recently found the contraption that helped you survive, and soon you'll have a partner to join your side." Amell said as a few of his men wheeled in a cradle.

Amell placed his hand on the cradle and smiled. "This person was hard to track down and hard to retrieve might I add."

Bucky said nothing. He saw a name tag on the cradle but on it was only the initials, 'P. M.'. He caught a glimpse of the person inside and he furrowed his brow. He's seen that person before. His memory was fuzzy but pieces of that person came back.

Amell didn't seem to notice as he was too busy watching Dmitri guide the cradle out of the room. "This boy is the final piece of the puzzle. You and him are the key to my plan. To everything." Amell said, his grin getting bigger.

Bucky kept his thoughts on the boy he remembered. There was someone else by his side, a girl maybe? The figure was blurry and all he could see what the boy and something red. It was glowing.

"Soldier!" Amell barked. Bucky snapped out of it and looked up.

Amell sighed. "Look son, you may not understand everything now, but you'll get it. Once I tell you the plan."

Dmitri walked back in and raised an eyebrow. "And what exactly is the plan, sir?"

"The plan isn't to just kill off the Avengers. The Soldier and that boy in there is someone's weakness."

Dmitri still looked confused.

"The plan is to kill off Wanda Maximoff. She's the most dangerous and powerful out of all the Avengers." Amell explained.

Hearing that name made Bucky tense up. He didn't understand why. He's heard it before though, he just couldn't piece together where. The name wouldn't leave his head though.
