After Vision and I had our little heart to heart, I decided that I was going to live in the now and only cherish the good memories that Pietro and I shared. I mean, I had avenged his death, but I still didn't feel better.
Maybe getting out of my room and getting some fresh air might help. I left my room and walked down the hallway and into the kitchen where I saw Steve, Vision and a man I had never seen before. I hid behind the wall before they could see me. Of course, I eavesdropped.
"Buck, we have to get you somewhere safe. Who knows what could happen." Steve said.
"I can handle myself. I have for years now." The man, Buck, said.
"I should inform Tony about James Barnes." Vision stepped in.
I cautiously peeked out and saw Steve holding a protective arm in front of James. This man had a lot of names.
"Not yet Vision. Bucky is safe. I promise. You are, right?" Steve asked, turning to look at Bucky. I'm just going to stick with Bucky.
Bucky nodded and looked at Vision as if to challenge him.
Turning his attention away from Steve and Bucky, Vision looked at the wall I was hiding behind and called me out. "Wanda, you can come out."
I slowly stepped into the kitchen and got a better view at Bucky. The first thing I noticed was his arm. It was metal and had a red star at the top.
"Who is this?" Bucky asked.
Steve walked over to me and put an arm around me. "Bucky, this is-"
"Wanda Maximoff." I interrupted.
Bucky crossed his arms and looked me up and down. "Are you a so called Avenger too?"
I nodded.
"Well you don't look like much." He said.
"Buck." Steve warned.
He clearly didn't know how powerful I was. Maybe I should show him.
I started to raise an arm, but Vision stopped me.
"Wanda, don't." His voice startled me.
I forgot he could read my mind.
Bucky was clearly intrigued that he rolled his eyes at Vision. "Well, I want to see what she can do."
I wanted to show him. Not just show him, but show everyone what I was capable of. I could destroy this Earth. I could destroy anyone who got in my way. I still felt that Pietro needed to be avenged. I still wanted to destroy Ultron's robots.
"Wanda." I snapped into reality and saw Vision standing in front of me. "Why don't we go somewhere else?" He suggested.
"I'm fine." I said.
"Everyone's a little tense right now. Let's all just take a breath. I'll get some coffee." Steve chimed in.
While Vision and Steve got the coffee, I felt eyes on me. I turned and saw Bucky staring at me.
"What's your story?" He asked.
Should I tell him? I just met the man but I already feel like I can trust him. I shrugged the feeling off and went with my instincts. "My story is for another day." I simply stated.
He walked up to me and suddenly we were face to face.
"Well...I'd really love to hear it." And with that, he walked away.
I turned and watched him start up a conversation with Steve. I couldn't help but smile.
