Steve ran his hands through his hair. It's been three days since they've seen Wanda. They searched New York from morning until night. Still no sight. Getting angry, Steve knocked off the contents of the coffee table to the ground."Steve...It's okay. We'll find her." Natasha seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. She placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm just so worried about her. What if something terrible happened?" Steve asked. He searched Natasha's eyes for a glimmer of hope, but her eyes were stone cold.
"Vision is looking through every single security camera throughout the entire state of New York. She'll turn up." Natasha replied.
With that said, Vision appeared. "I found Wanda."
Steve let out a sigh of relief. "Great! Where is she?"
Vision tried to mask his emotion, but Steve could see that he was upset. "I found Wanda...from three days ago."
Natasha stepped forward. "What do you mean?"
Vision placed a laptop on top of the coffee table. We all gathered around it and watched the security video. It showed Wanda being attacked by...Bucky? Steve furrowed his brows. Bucky was talking to Wanda and she looked relieved and they soon embraced each other. Steve looked over to Natasha and she had the same look of confusion on her face. I turned back to the video just as Wanda fell to the ground, screaming. Something or someone had shot her with some type of weapon that masked her powers. Bucky took something off of his face and turns out it wasn't Bucky at all.
Natasha was the first to speak up after a moment of silence. "Okay so...someone posed as Barnes just to capture Wanda?"
Vision nodded slowly. "It appears that way. Wanda has been M.I.A. since that happened. No other security camera's have spotted her."
Steve clenched his fists. "Amell."
Before anyone could say anything else, Tony strolled in with a smirk on his face.
"What?" Natasha asked.
"I found where Amell is keeping Wanda." Tony replied with a smug look on his face.
No one said anything.
Tony opened his arms. "Go ahead. Kneel and kiss my feet and praise my awesomeness."
"We need to retrieve her immediately." Vision said as he rose to his feet.
"That's exactly what we are going to do. Suit up." Steve commanded.
I opened my eyes, my sight blurry. I blinked a couple of times and everything came into focus. I noticed that I wasn't chained up or anything. I stood up slowly, my body aching. Whatever they injected me with sure did the trick because my powers felt like stone. No matter how hard I tried, they wouldn't flow out. My thoughts were interrupted to the sound of the door opening. I looked and saw Amell and one of his soldiers walk in.
"Ah! You're awake! Fantastic." He grinned.
"What do you want? Why am I here?" I asked.
He didn't answer, instead he walked over to another door. He opened it and pulled out a large cradle with a tarp covering it. I gave him a confused look.
He rolled his eyes in annoyance and yanked the tarp off, revealing a body in the cradle. My stomach churned.
"Go ahead! Take a look." Amell urged.
I slowly stepped up to the cradle. I took a deep breath and looked down. The sight caused me to lose my balance. I fell to the floor, gasping for air.
Amell snapped his fingers and soon his soldier grabbed me and yanked me back up.
"Take a good look, girl!" Amell spat.
Tears flooded my eyes as I let out a cry. I placed a hand on the cradle.
"Pietro..." I whispered.
"He's alive and well, thanks to us." I could practically hear Amell's evil smile growing.
I let out a scream of anger and shoved Amell back onto an operating table. His soldier grabbed me but I punched him in the gut, spun around and kicked him in the face. I can thank Natasha for that move. I heard men shouting from down the hallway. Soon, more soldiers busted in the room, one of them being Bucky. None of them advanced, just waited for me to make my move.
I clenched my fists. "James Buchanan Barnes! What a surprise." I seethed. He looked confused. I could feel my hex regaining strength, it's power was boiling in my veins. I let it all out, throwing Amell's soldiers around like rag dolls. One socked me in the face. I fell to the ground instantly. Another one kicked me in the jaw. The metallic taste of blood instantly covered my taste buds. I stood up and sent my hex flying. All of the soldiers were knocked unconscious. All except one.
I walked up to Bucky and lifted my hand so he could see the scarlet aura circling around my fingers. "I'll come back for you." I promised.
Before he could do anything, I placed my lips on his while my hex traveled to his mind.
He fell to the ground, memories suffocating him. He let out a scream. I quickly grabbed the handle of the cradle and ran out of the room. If the cradle hadn't been on wheels, I wouldn't have been so lucky. I saw the entrance door and flung it open with my hex. I walked out of the building dragging the cradle, only to be met by the Avengers. Steve and Vision looked horrified once they saw my bloodied and bruised face.
"Took you long enough." I snapped.
I shoved the cradle towards them and walked off into a clearing. I focused my hex on the ground.
"Wanda, wait!" Steve called.
I ignored him and flew off, back to the Avengers Facility.
