Grace Zandew grew up in a small town near Houston, Tx. She competes in barrel racing and tie down on a pro level. This coming season she joins ERA. What she doesn't know is that she has caught the eye of a man from Sulphur, Louisiana. He's a champio...
I set Brody down for his morning nap and get ready for church. A month ago the human I had to carry for nine months was born. Shane won't be home until this afternoon.
I finished getting ready and dressed my little boy. He had on a button down shirt onesie and a pair of black baby wranglers. My idea, got it from my husband who wears them while roping.
I grabbed the carrier and put him in it. Then got the diaper bag and walked out the door after pulling my boots on. I made sure his seat was secure and got in.
When I got there I checked his diaper really quick and took the diaper bag in just in case. I found a seat next to Kayla and set Brody's carrier in the floor. I got him out and placed him in the crook of my arm.
Brandi and Megan came up to see Brody. They held him as he slept and cooed over their nephew. They sat behind me with Brandi's husband and Megan's boyfriend.
I set Brody on the pew and checked my phone. Hands grabbed Brody then his father sat down next to me. He kissed my forehead and put his arm on the back of the pew.
Brody sat on his lap as he bounced his leg. "I missed you." He said then kissed me again. "Missed you too." I said laying my head on his shoulder. His arm wrapped around me as he held our son with the other.
When we started singing he stood up still holding Brody. In a few short months we will be taking him to his first football game. When church was over Shane carried the diaper bag and Brody out to the car.
He attached the carrier to the car clip and made sure it was secure. He set the bag in the floorboard and got in. When we got home Shane carried our boy in and changed his diaper for me.
I gave Brody something to eat then. Shane took him to his crib and laid him down for his afternoon nap. I laid down on the couch after getting out of my dress and putting jeans on.
I grabbed the blanket on the end and curled up under it. Shane came into the living room and put me in his lap. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. In no time I was asleep.
Brody crying woke me from my sleep. I tried to get up but Shane stopped me and got up to check on him. He came back with our son and sat down in his recliner.
He rocked Brody until he fell back asleep. I fell asleep too as both of my loves were in the same room.
When I woke up I saw Shane in the floor asleep with Brody on his chest. I got up off the couch and started fixing supper. Two arms wrapped around me and a chin rested on top of my head.
"Brody's asleep on the couch." He said then kissed me. I nodded as I stirred the meat. "I'll finish cooking and I'll watch him. You relax baby girl." He told me taking what ever was in my hand out and doing as he said.
I went and got a bath and got cleaned up while Shane took care of things.

October I put an LSU onesie on Brody and put one of Shane's LSU shirts on with some golden yellow leggings. I finally found Brody's little jeans and put socks on his feet.
Shane came in the bedroom and set a small box on the bed. He opened it and inside were crocheted boot booties for Brody. He put them on and stood him up.
I kissed Brody's cheek and picked him up. Shane put two more LSU onesies in the diaper bag and put three burp rags in.
We walked out to the car and got in. Of course Shane drove to the stadium. When we got there I got Brody and Shane took him from me and got the diaper bag.
We walked hand in hand to the gates. The gate person asked for our tickets and Shane gave them to him. The guy nodded and let us in.
I took Brody so Shane could get us drinks. He started getting cranky so I started to rock him. I got him to eat some puffs I brought for him and he calmed a little. Then I gave him his pacifier. We found our seats and watched the game.
Every time they made a touchdown Shane jumped up and cheered while I held our son. On the winning touchdown Brody screeched for joy. "That's my boy!" Shane said picking him up.
