I pulled up to the house and got out. Gage came out of the shed that Arrow called home now. It was about a week before I had to leave for Redmond.

My horse and dog are my babies right now and I don't want any biological children at the moment. I put hay in the low hanging net and gave Arrow fresh water.

I set a bowl out for Gage and he drank the water. Then I took my last bag inside and set it on the counter. I had canned food and I just got back from going to Walmart so I didn't have to worry about food at the moment.

Gage nudged my leg wanting his supper. I scooped it out and put it in his bowl. Then I set it in the floor so he could chow down. Hopefully for three years I'll remain single but I'm twenty five and I really want to get married before I turn thirty.

I fixed me some food and then got a shower. Gage curled up next to me after I turned the tv on. The news wasn't any different than yesterday. The presidential election. I flipped on PBR and watched the bull riders for a bit.

I yawned and checked the time. The clock read ten thirty so I went to bed for a good nights rest.

"Gage. Stop licking." I said to my dog. I looked up and Gage was staring at me. "I guess it's time to get up?" I asked my dog. I got out of bed and got dressed.

"She's country from her cowboy boots to her......" I answered my phone knowing it was my brother.
"Happy Valentine's Day sis!"
"Happy Valentine's Day bro!"
"So how's life?"
"Good. Can't wait to get on the road."
"Good luck big sis."
"Same to you baby bro."

I hung up my phone and ate breakfast. I gave Gage his breakfast and went outside to feed and groom Arrow. Arrow came up to me and loved on me. I stepped in the paddock and scratched his forehead.

Shane's POV
I finished putting my saddle on Si and had my rope tied to my saddle horn. "Shane when are yo goin' to find a girl for ya?" Jason asked me.

"Could you give me a break here? I'll know when I see her." I told him getting on my horse. He shoved a calf in. I called it and he shoved it out.

I looped its neck and jumped off my horse. Once I got to it I flipped it and tied its legs. "New best bro." He told me. I nodded and released the calf. It ran off and back into the holding pen.

Grace's POV
"Mom I'm fine. I don't need to come home." I told my mother. "Oh I've found you a husband." I hung up on her. She'll always try to bring me closer to home, but I'm never going back unless it's for the holidays.

I played my music and practiced the barrels. Then I switched saddles after three runs. I brought the five calves I had up and put them in the pen.

I launched it myself and looped its neck. Then I quickly got off and flipped it and tied its legs. I didn't know how fast I was, but I was fast enough for the ERA. When I was done with all five I shooed them and gave Arrow a good scrub.

When I was done I put him out in his paddock and gave him grain. I gave him fresh water and kissed his nose. He dunked his head into his food bucket and ate his food.

I went into the house and unpacked my buckles finally. There were barrel racing buckles, team roping buckles, bareback bronc riding, and there were mostly calf roping.

I got my step stool and one by one put my buckles up for display. All of my calf roping buckles were front and center. There were five more than barrel racing, three more than team roping, and fifteen more than bronc riding. I had five bronc riding buckles, seventeen team roping, and fifteen barrel racing.

Over the years since I was five I've been rodeoing. For fifteen years I've been calf roping. Five of the calf roping buckles are ones dad wanted me to hold onto for him so mom didn't know about them.

The barrel racing buckles went to the left of my calf roping and the team rope and bronc were mixed together. I got off the stool and stepped back. All of them were on display now.

Gage laid down by the door. "Need out buddy?" I let the dog out and started my supper. Gage scratched at the door and I let him in. Once my supper was done I sat down to watch the news. Gage hopped onto the couch and laid down.

When I was done with my supper I got a shower and watched tv for about an hour.

Shane's POV
I put Si up and gave him his supper. "Jason. Could you please leave me alone about getting a girl?" I asked him.

"Shane your almost thirty and your not even engaged yet." Jason said 'matter of factly.' I rolled my eyes and went inside. I locked the door and sank into my chair. Everyone in my family keeps telling me to get married and settled down.

I'm thinking not just yet. I still want to live the life of a bachelor for a little bit longer. Jason finally went home and left me alone. I fixed myself a sandwich and got a shower.

Trevor sent me an article about a new girl entering ERA. 'We're in trouble here.' The article stated that she's been calf roping since she was ten, barrel racing since she was five, team roping since ten, and bronc riding since she was fourteen.

'So?'
'There's a chance we could be beat by a girl.'
'Don't care. She's just another person trying to make it in the rodeo world.' I ended it at that and went to bed.
