"I'm going to take two years off so I can help out with Brody." Shane told me as he carried Brody into the house. I got him out of his carrier and fed him supper.
He started getting sleepy eyed so I gave him a bath and put him in his bed. I got a shower and ate something before crawling into bed. About half an hour later Shane got a shower and joined me.
He started kissing me and teasing me. I giggled and rolled over. He wrapped his arms around me pulling me close to him. I put a leg over him and he put a hand on my bottom.
He kissed me and pulled the tee I stole off my body. "Now I've got my beautiful woman with me and there's nothing anyone could do to take you away." He said as he finished stripping me of my clothes. He stripped what he had on and loved me the right way.
Brody started crying and I tried to get up. "I've got him baby." He got out of bed and pulled on his underwear. I rolled over and pulled a pillow close to my chest and put my head on it.
The bed dipped and I was pulled to a chest. "He needed his diaper changed." He said before kissing me. I let him hold me tight and wrap me in his arms. His head rested in the crook of my neck before kissing me.
Shane's POV I got up when Brody started to cry and put my underwear from earlier on. When I got to him I picked him up and checked his diaper. It was stinky.
I changed him and rocked him back to sleep. Once he was asleep I went back to bed and pulled Grace close to me. How can I ever leave her by herself. I put my head in the crook of her neck and kiss her. For the next two years we're going to be together.

Grace's POV I got out of bed and got dressed. Shane was still asleep so I went out and fed the horses. Next month Brody will turn one. I got every horse fed and cleaned the water troughs out.
A screech made me look up. Brody was crawling over to me from the door. I took a step and picked him up. I kissed his cheek and let him bury his head in my neck.
He's definitely mamma's boy right now. Two arms wrapped around me and Brody smiled. "Looks like someone got up early then decided to wake daddy up." Shane whispered in my ear. I smirked and leaned into his chest.
"Oh and how did that happen?" I asked. "He saw mommy pass his room and wanted to come along." He said kissing me in the crook of my neck.
I turned in his arms and kissed him then took Brody into the barn with me. I went to Arrow's stall and took him into the stall. Arrow sniffed Brody and he put his hand on Arrow's muzzle.
"Let's go riding." I told my horse gripping his halter. I led my horse out to the cross ties. Then set Brody in the high chair I put in the barn. I saddled my horse then picked up Brody and led Arrow outside.
I got on one handed and set Brody on my thigh. Shane was out working with one of his horses. I held onto Brody as we rode out to the pasture. He started slipping and I pulled him back up and set him in front of me in the saddle.
He gripped the saddle horn and giggled as I went into a trot. Then a canter. I held onto Brody as he held onto the saddle. We rode out to the cattle to check on them.
The herd came up to us as we rode through. Brody of course wanted to pet one. I got down off Arrow and held Brody while he pet a cow. She sniffed him as he pet her head.
I set him down and lifted the reins off of Arrow's neck. The cows gathered around us to see Brody. They were extremely curious about him.
Arrow moved closer to him and he used the horse's leg to stand up. He grinned at me and didn't take a step. He looked past me and let go of the leg. He stood up and started to walk towards me.
He fell and was about to cry. I picked him up and comforted him. He buried his head in my neck as I turned around. Shane rubbed his back and kissed his forehead. Brody turned and looked up at his dad.
Shane took him from me and comforted him as I watched. He was an amazing father to our son. I went over to them and rubbed Brody's back.
"Come on let's go back to the house and get some lunch." Shane told him. I got onto Arrow and Shane handed me our son. I set him in front of me and rode over to Reata.
Shane got on his horse and I let him take Brody to the house. We rode up to the barn and put the horses up. We walked hand in hand to the house and Shane fixed us lunch.
I changed Brody's diaper and got him out of his dirty clothes. Shane gave him his lunch while we ate. Once he was done I took him to his room and laid him down to take a nap.
He drifted off and I turned the monitor on. I closed his door and went to join Shane in the living room. I sat down on the couch and turned the monitor on. Shane pulled me close and I fell asleep next to him.
