(Jason's POV)

The lunch room is loud.

Very, very loud.

As soon as I walk through the doors, I am hit with a wave of sound. Students yelling, talking, laughing, making noises, etc.

Not to mention the rain. The lunch room has a ton of windows, and the weather is terrible right now. It's pretty much a downpour.

So yeah, it's loud.

"Let's go get in line," I say to Frank, heading over to the lunch line.

"WHAT?" He yells, looking at me blankly.

"LUNCH LINE!"

"OKAY."

It's hot dog day, and I have reason to believe that they're made from horse meat.

Not beef. Horse.

Yeah, I know. Gag me with a spoon.

The line is really long today, and I sigh as we move forward slowly.

"So, uh, Jason? Are you friends with Hazel?" Frank asks me.

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, I, uh, kinda-"

"You want to ask her out, don't you?" I gasp.

"Jason-"

"Aw, she's super nice! Go for it!"

"Really?"

"Definitely. But, I would talk to Nico first."

"Dually noted."

"Hey, McLean!" I hear Drew shout above everyone else, looking towards the front of the lunch line. I follow her gaze to find a very anxious Piper refusing to look at her.

"You still like Piper, right?"

I whip around to look at Frank. "What?"

"You shouldn't have told Thalia, Percy, and Nico," he says with a slight smirk, and I groan loudly.

"Who else have they told?"

"Travis, Connor, Clarisse, Will, Annabeth, and probably Katie."

I cover my face with my hands. "Well, my life is over."
