Laying in the tall grass and resting your eyes was one of the most relaxing things you could do in the world you lived in now. Sometimes you couldn't even do that.

As soon as you got to the Deadheads, you plopped down in the grass and let it blow freely around you. Though soon your relaxation was interrupted when you spotted a figure by the closest door. Lying on the floor and panting. You tried getting a closer look, and carefully stepped forward. Inching your way towards the figure, soon recognized it to be Newt.

You sighed with relief, jogging over and kneeling down next to him. His hair stick to his forehead and his skin was glistening with sweat.

"Ew," Was all you said, earning a smile from the boy. His chest rhythmically going up and down. "You look disgusting,"

"I've gotta get used to running like that again. It was a pain in the ass to get used to the first time we were here," Newt replied flatly.

"I could imagine," You laid down next to him, arms resting on your stomach. "I'm getting tired just looking at you,"

Newt raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to try?"

"Oh, shuck no. I do not run voluntarily,"

"No one wants to be a runner. Especially not now."

You nodded. The two of you stayed quiet for a moment, letting Newt catch his breath before asking another question.

"Did you find anything?" You asked, turning your head to look at the blonde.

The look on his face gave you your answer. His face fell almost immediately after you finished the last word.

"We'll find something eventually," You said sitting up and pushing yourself into a standing position. You held out a hand to help him up. He took it and stood, standing there for a second before he remembered he was holding your hand. Honestly, you didn't want him to let go.

"(Y/N)! Newt!" You heard Thomas call you. You turned and saw him waving you over. "Minho found something!"

It took you a second to process what he said. But when it did sink in, your eyes widened so big the could've been compared to softballs. You took off running straight for Thomas. You heard Newt behind you, mumbling to himself. As soon as you reached Thomas, you wrapped your fingers around his biceps and pulled him down to your height.

"If you're joking, I will kick your ass so hard your grandchildren's grandchildren will feel it," You threatened him. He didn't even look fazed, but he had a look in his eyes telling you he wasn't joking. "Good," You said releasing him from your grip.

"What did Minho find?" Newt asked, ignoring the whole threatening thing just seconds before.

"I don't know, but he said he found something,"

You all exchanged a look, telling each other silently to kick his ass if he's lying.

Thomas started jogging in the opposite direction he came from, you and Newt trailing behind him. Thomas ran at a slower pace, you figured from the exhaustion of running the Maze. He lead the two of you to the building with a metal door. You remembered it from when Minho went missing after Thomas and Newt's big reveal.

"How is this place still holding together?" Newt asked, studying the large door.

"The world may never know," Chuck said peeking his head out of the doorway. "C'mon!" He waved at the three of you signaling you to follow him.

The four of you carefully walked down the steep steps, making sure to watch your head for different objects penetrating the your walking space. You almost hit into a loose plank hanging from above you because you were convinced you felt something touch your foot. You would of been hit in the head unless Newt hadn't warned you about it and pushed it out of the way.
