Chapter 5
Tyler and Katie finally went downstairs to see what Mike and Lindsay ended up doing.
"What even happened to Hannah and Liam?" Lindsay asked as soon as Katie reached the bottom step.
"I texted her earlier. She's at Liam's." Katie said, still not in the mood.
"What a bitch. She just left without even asking if you were okay with talking to Tyler about all this..!" Lindsay exclaimed, clearly unaware that Mike had no idea what was going on.
"Talking to Tyler about what?" Mike asked.
"Nothing," Katie said quickly, looking at Tyler.
"Come on, we can tell him. He's my bestfriend," Tyler insisted. Katie hesitated. "You told your friends, didn't you?" Tyler continued.
Katie was confused. He was so sweet upstairs when they were alone but around his friends... He was kind of a jerk.
"I just don't want it known by too many people yet.. Is that okay with you?!" Katie tried hard not to yell but she was getting frustrated. Why was he all of the sudden changing just because Mike was there?
"Everyone's gonna find out eventually," Tyler replied, running his fingers through his hair.
That's exactly how he acted the night of that party. He was acting all cool around his friends but when he talked to Katie, he sounded so caring... convincing. She didn't understand it at first but now she figured out that he's a two faced jerk that just got another girl pregnant. Katie just wanted everyone gone. Even Lindsay; she didn't even know why she stuck around.. Or Mike for that matter...
"Okay, party's over. Everyone leave," Katie said, practically kicking them out.
"Don't we have to wait for your mom?" Tyler asked, not wanting to leave.
"Why would you wanna stick around?" Katie asked, knowing why but asked anyway.
"So we can tell your parents together that you're pregnant," Tyler said, knowing that Mike was listening very intently. Katie shook her head slightly and glared at Tyler.
"Wait, what?!" Mike exclaimed. "Tyler, are you serious?!"
"Hey, it's not my fault she's so beautiful," Tyler smiled at Katie.
"Oh, shut up!" Katie basically screamed. Her face was all red.
"What? I just complimented you!" Tyler said, confused.
"You're such a jerk! Upstairs you made me believe you actually wanted this to work out! But now, around Mike, you gotta make sure you're Mr. Cool again!" Katie yelled at Tyler. "Who else did you get pregnant?!"
"What are you talking about, Katie?! You act like I wanted this to happen!"
"Leave. Now." Katie said furiously.
"Katie, seriously. I want to help! It's the least I can do!" Tyler continued.
"You're damn right it's the least you can do. But I don't want you here right now- none of you. I just want to be alone!" Katie was about to cry.
"Katie..." Lindsay hugged Katie. "Do you want me to stay?"
"No, and I'm not mad at you. I just want to be alone. It's been a long night." Katie replied, releasing Lindsay.
"Bye Katie." Everyone said to her. She started to close the door when Tyler stopped it.
"Look, I really am sorry." He said sweetly.
"This is exactly what I'm talking about." Katie said calmly. "Around you're friends you're different from when you're with me."
"I try not to be - in fact, I didn't even notice," he looked into her eyes, apologetically.
"Well, I noticed."
"I'm sorry," Tyler leaned right in and kissed her. Katie wanted to pull away so badly but she really liked kissing him. And that's how she got pregnant.
She didn't want to have sex with him but he was so convincing and hot and -Godddd!!! She couldn't think about how she hated him while she was kissing him..?
Katie was the first one to pull back. She just smiled and slowly shut the door. She leaned against the back of the door and sighed.
