Chapter three

Konner's pov

Tracy in the slide

"I can't believe she broke my nose" Tracy says for the hundredth time today making me kind of want to knock her out.

"It's okay Trace, you can alway get back at her" Tracy's friend Margo says making Tracy smirk. 

"Reece" Tracy laughs, her blonde curls bouncing a bit.

"Reece?" I question not liking where this is going.

"She was completely in love with him and then he crushed her, breaking her heart into 1,000 pieces" Tracy says smirking wickedly

"Yeah I know, I messed with her the whole time and she comes back looking hot" I say smirking while leaning back against a tree with my arms crossed.

"Shut up Konner" Tracy yells at me and I shrug. "As I was saying, I want you to make her fall in love with you, and then I want you to break her heart again" Tracy smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Im not your guy" I say getting ready to walk away but she grabs my wrist which I easily pull out of her hand.

"Please Konner" Tracy says before smirking evilly "I'll pay you triple what I pay you now" Tracy says making me stop and think.

"Fine but it's going to hard, take it from me, you can't break something that's already broken"  

"Okay well go....." Tracy says and I arch an eyebrow.

"You mean now?" I question making Tracy motion with her head the direction of Maya's house and I roll my eyes.

"If I can't do this I get paid either way, after all you chose the person she hates the most to do the job" I say and Tracy rolls her eyes.

"Please she hates Reece way more than you, all you did was make her life bad, Reece cheated on her with me after promising he never would cheat" Tracy says and I arch an eyebrow and walk off not even wanting to continue.

I get to Maya's house and knock on the door. The door opens and I see a lady 40ish with short red hair and vibrant green eyes.

"Hi, are you a friend of Maya's" She questions while on the phone with someone.

"Yup" I say popping the 'p'.

I see Maya walk downstairs wearing glasses and sweats, her hair is in a messy bun.

"Eww" She mumbles looking at me and then she walks back upstairs leaving her mom and I speechless.

"Okay so we are doing a class project" I lie to her mom and she smiles and nods.

"Maya isn't the most social person" Her mom says making me scoff.

"Trust me Maya is very social" I say referring to her partying and drinking.

"At school maybe, but she always stays away from family, she hasn't had the most pleasant childhood"  Her mom says with watering eyes and I scratch the back of my neck awkwardly.

"I'm sure you were a good mom, don't cry" I say patting her head and she looks at me confused, okay I don't know how to comfort people.

"I'm not her mom" She laughs. "I'm her aunt Christy" She adds and Maya runs downstairs again holding a book.

"Maya that was very rude, this boy is not eww he is very handsome" Maya's aunt says making Maya scrunch her nose up and me cringe.

"We all have our own opinions" Maya says looking me up and down and her aunt lightly elbows her.  

"He said you two were supposed to be working on a project" Her aunt says making my eyes go wide, well this is going down hill.

"A project?" Maya questions and I remember she left school early. 

"mmm Yup in science"  I lie making Maya arch an eyebrow, she smiles bitter sweetly.

"You and I upstairs now" Maya says grabbing my wrist and dragging me upstairs.
