Chapter twenty three

Maven's pov

After the plane ride we are finally are at the lake house. The whole time Konner, Carson and Ryder ignored me talking about something so I just talked to Kayla and Chance.

The lake house was absolutely gorgeous. I was looking around when a little boy runs out of nowhere, he is bald and looks about six.

"Are you Konner's girl friend" The little boy asked and I nod at him and smile.

"Who are you?" I ask and he perks up.

"I'm Toby, Konner talks about you all the time" Toby exaggerates and I laugh.

"Really now?" I question playfully and he nods.

"You are very pretty, He was right, sometimes he draws pictures of you, and I mean hundreds but don't worry he still draws pictures of me too, he is teaching me how to draw" Toby says and that intrigues me. 

"Oh" Is all I say and he gives me a lopsided smile.

"He says you drive him crazy, and I said then why are you friends with her and he said because she drives me crazy in a good way" Toby says and I can't help but smile. "I don't understand what that means though, I mean if you drove me crazy I would leave just like daddy left mommy" Toby says nodding agreeing with his comment.

"Maya there you are" Konner says and Toby's eyes light up.

"Konner!!" Toby yell jumping into his arms and Konner chuckles.

"Hey squirt, how's the lungs holding up?" Konner asked him playfully trying to hide the worry in his eyes but I could see right past it.

"Good, good" Toby says laughing and Konner kisses him on the head.

"Maya this is my little brother Toby, Toby this is Maya" Konner says introducing us.

I walk up to Konner and wrap my arms around his neck while he is still holding Toby, I stand on my tippy toes so that I can whisper in Konner's ear.

"Do I really drive you crazy" I whisper and Konners eyes darken a little.

He is about to kiss me but I quickly move.

"Good" I smile walking away and Konner's jaw drops.

"M-Maya you can't j-jus-" Konner gets cut off by Toby's laughter.

"She is pretty and funny" Toby says still laughing.

"Yeah and loony" Konner mutter loud enough for me to hear.

"I heard that Williams" I yell and I could practically feel him roll his eyes.

"Keep her" Toby says, I decide to stand in the hall and east drop.

"I'll see what I can do" Konner replies and I smile.

Chance,Kayla,Carson and Ryder went to go explore while Konner introduces me to his dad.

"Hi Mr.Williams I'm Maya" I smile holding out my hand but he ignores it. 

Konner leans up to my ear. "He is going to really annoy you, stay calm tink" Konner whispers in my ear and I nod.

"So Margot how long have you been dating Konner?" Mr.Williams asked and I furrow my eyebrows... Margot?!?!

"Actually it's Maya sir" I correct him and he nods.

"Sorry Margrit" Mr.Williams says and I bite my lip to keep from snapping, I turn to Konner, my face slowly turning red and I can see Konner fighting a smile, he finds this AMUSING!!

"Maya......M-A-Y-A" I say annoyed spelling it out and Mr.Williams puts his hand in my face.

"You need to calm down Martha" Mr.Williams snaps and now my face is full on red.

"Mr.Williams... It's not Margot, it's not margrit, it's not Martha, it's not May,its not Maddie.,it's not Mason...It's MAYA!!!" I snap and he scowls.

"Please get Mary out of my sight Konner" Mr.Williams says calmly and Konner shuts his eyes knowing that this is my breaking point.

"I'm sorry are you mentally dysfunctional, is something wrong with your memory or are you naturally this stupid, Ya'know maybe you are putting in an extra effort today because I told you what four times in the last five minutes, oh maybe it the alzheimer's, or have you decided to become dory from nemo just for me, if thats the case you are not a good actor and I don't find this amusing at all, I knew you were going to be a pain but I didn't know it would be this bad, So I'm going to leave before I say something I actually regret and do the world a favor and find yourself some brain cells" I yell angrily and Konner smirks.

"I like this girl Konner, she's a keeper" Konner's dad say smiling.

"I know" Konner smiles.

What?! I look at Konner with a look that says explain and Konner's dad gestures for me to take a seat.
