"Daddy daddy!" Will cried out as he ran into Lindsey's arms.
"Hey buddy! I've missed you!" Lindsey said.
Leelee ran to Lindsey a few seconds behind Will. "Hi daddy!" She said as she flew into his arms.Lindsey held his children in his arms, Kristen walked up to him carrying Stella. Lindsey smiled at her and as soon as she got close enough gave her a kiss on her lips. "Hey hun, how was the flight?"
"It was alright." She answered giving him a hug and another kiss. Lindsey could feel some tension coming from Kristen but didn't say anything to her about it.Lindsey put down Will and Leelee then took Stella from her and said. "Hey baby girl! I missed you too."
"Dada dada!" Stella said with a smile. They made their way inside the house where Barbara was waiting by the door to greet Lindsey's family.
Barbara led them into the living room where she had a pot of tea for the adults and milk and chocolate chip cookies for the children.
The kids faces lit up, they gave Barbara a hug and thanked her. They all sat in the living room, Kristen making small talk while Lindsey, Jess and Barbara were the most talkative.
The children sitting quietly enjoying their milk and cookies. After a few more minutes, Leelee looked at Lindsey and asked. "Daddy? Where's auntie Stevie?"
"She's upstairs getting ready, she'll be down in a few minutes." Lindsey replied.Stevie was in her bedroom, she had just got out of the shower. She grabbed her clothes she had picked out for the day and began to dress.
She stood for a moment in front of her floor length mirror in her bra and underwear; she stared at her pregnant form in the mirror, her hand running across her belly.
She smiled at the sight; she stood there for a few more minutes taking in every change that her body was going through.Stevie then got dressed; she wore her usual black tights and black blouse. Before going downstairs, Stevie called Karen to tell her that she could start working on the nursery and telling her she was having a girl. Karen congratulated her then spoke to her about things that were happening in L.A. Mostly to do with interviews which Karen had taken care of everything and said Stevie would be away for a while.
After getting off the phone with Karen, Stevie left her bedroom and made her way carefully down the stairs. She stopped for a moment feeling nervous; she knew Kristen had arrived. After that kiss the night before, Stevie felt guilty for kissing a married man, she was worried that Kristen would somehow find out about it.
She took a deep breath then walked into the living room."Auntie Stevie!" Will and Leelee exclaimed.
Will ran up to Stevie and bump into her belly accidentally while trying to hug her.
"Careful Will." Lindsey said.
Stevie chuckled. "It's okay."
She gave the kids hugs and greeted Kristen who was a little stand offish.
They all sat down, Stevie sitting next to her mother.Everyone carried on the conversation but once again Kristen was the quiet one of the group.
Leelee and Stella were glued to Stevie's side; Stella played on the floor by Stevie's feet and Leelee sat close to Stevie.
Lindsey hadn't told Will and Leelee about Stevie having a baby yet; Will obviously saw a difference in Stevie since the last time he saw her.
He wasn't sure so he spoke up after a few minutes of contemplating whether to ask or not.
"Um...auntie Stevie?" Will asked feeling unsure.
Stevie smiled at him. "Yes my sweet boy."
"Do you...have a baby in your tummy?"
"Yes I do!" Stevie replied with a chuckle and placing a hand on her belly.
Will and Leelee stared wide eyed at the news.
Then Will had a worried expression. "Aunt Stevie! Did I hurt the baby when I ran into you?"
Stevie shook her head. "No you didn't. You just woke her up. She's moving and kicking up a storm right now."
"It's a girl! Can I feel?" Will asked.
"You sure can." Stevie said as she took Will's hand and placed it where the baby was kicking.
Will smiled ear to ear then Leelee spoke up and asked if she could feel too.
