The three witches sat at they're dinner table devouring lobster in complete silence. Dante had told Eden everything about the beast then she told Sebastian. Everyone except for Eden was freaked out cause if this is what it took to stop Dante on the treacherous path he was riding down, she would happily invite more humanoid beasts into their lives.
"Eden where's Nathanael? I don't want him here tonight." Dante whisper yelled.
Tonight was the night the planet Venus passed directly over the kingdom. You see, when ever a planet passes directly over a witch they are either forced to tell the truth if it's a planet outside Orion's belt or they temporarily lose their power if it's a planet within Orion's belt.
"Don't be such a worry wart. He doesn't suspect a thing." Sebastian comforted. "And stop whispering it's annoying. It's not like he has enhanced hearing." Which is funny cause he does. Nathanael stood near the door listening to every word they said. The first think that came to mind was to find out exactly what they were talking about but his mind was on Dante. His smile, his laugh, the way he would lick his lips when he didn't really care and the way he stared when he was annoyed, all these things made it hard for him to do his job. He was confused, hurt, angry but mostly hurt.
"Nathanael someone is here to see you." Lorraine one the maids informed. Nathanael jumped away from the door way trying to act normal. "It's okay, sometimes I eavesdrop on their silly conversations, now go on." Lorraine was a red head who lost her parents to the pox when she young, ever since that day Dante had been taking care of her until she decided it was time for her to take care of him.
Nathanael walked past the witches to the front door to see his brother Zanique in his guard armour. He was a royal guard. One of the best combatants through out the kingdom and probably beyond the kingdom walls. "Zane what do you want now?"
"Ouch. Is that how you answer your old-" Zanique stopped talking and began sniffing the air. "He's here! Let me see him!" Zanique tried pushing past his little brother but Nathanael stopped him. " Zane what are you talking about?" Nathanael questioned stepping outside.
"That lovely boy I told you I met in the woods. I don't remember his face or anything just his brown eyes and his scent." Zanique said.
"How could you call him lovely and you don't even remember his face and there's no brown eyed b-" Nathanael was confused, he was about to call his brother insane until he finally realised who was talking about. There's only one brown eyed boy that live here. Dante.
The brothers then bared fangs growling "Mine" simultaneously.
"I knew him first." Zanique defended. "I work for him you imbecile!" Nathanael countered and just when they about to rip each other apart. Dante made himself known. "Hello how may I help you." Dante smiled at Zanique's now fangless face.
"Sir." Zanique bowed before Dante which was quite unnecessary since he wasn't royalty but something about it felt familiar. " I have been tasked to give you a message. The Infernus' have arrived and would like to meet all the selectman Wednesday morning for breakfast." Zanique said staring wantonly at The Count's lips the whole time.
"Well thank you, you may be on your way now." Dante dismissed but Zanique didn't budge. "Count, I've heard that a hug from you can put the saddest of people into the happiest of moods and my brother and I haven't been on good terms and that makes me dismal so I was wondering......................." Zanique did that thing when his eyes would water causing it to shimmer in the light.
"Aww come here." Dante hugged him tightly but quickly jumped back when he felt that good old electric sensation. "Nathanael's your brother isn't he?" Dante asked and the brothers both nodded. "What gave us away? Was it our eyes? Or our devilishly handsome faces?" Zanique smirked.
"No it was that feeling. The shock." Dante said deep in thought. "You've felt it with him?" Zanique queried. Dante didn't need to answer anything, his face said it all.
"And he'll feel more than that when I'm finally buried dee-" Nathanael began boasting. "OH NO! No one will be burying themselves deep inside anything or anyone , not now or not ever!" Dante silenced him. Phew that one was........just wow! Dante thought.
"I think you two should go home and sort this brotherly spat out." Dante suggested. "And that's an order." Dante went inside and slammed the door behind him.
"I think you should search for a spell to make you less appealing." Sebastian chuckled. He and Eden were standing there the whole time. "And what is this 'shock' you spoke off?" Eden giggled.
"The witch hunters are here Eden. This is no time to enjoy my suffering."
"If not now Dante then when shall I enjoy it?"
"Eden I will ask you one last time. Will you join me against Evelyn? Will you aid me in making her suffer?"
"No. And why do you need my help? You already removed the wards."
Dante was speechless. Did she know about everything they did? And how?
To be truthful Dante wasn't really all that surprised that she knew, with her mastery in divination she could find out information without disturbing the pearls around her neck. She was a God when it came onto magic. Dante always tried catching up but he couldn't so he focused on only spells, how they work and how they're made and now he could create his spells without them backfiring or having consequences."Well enough gibberish for the night, we have a big day ahead of us." Dante bid them farewell and went off to dream about...................well obviously the Dumonts.
