It was midnight and Rafael's voice was still ringing in Eden's head. Don't go Eden. Please don't go, but she ignored it. And on top of that, she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her.
She had already began her journey through the woods. She felt magical energy in waves as she journeyed to the stop where half naked women were dancing around a fire, chanting "Prince of evil, master of all. Lord of Darkness hear our call." while some were having sex with each other.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Elizabeth appeared beside Eden. "The freedom and power we witches have. And all that shall be magnified when you aid us in bringing our dark lord home. Eden you are a treasure in our presence, a rare jewel."
"I don't understand why you want to bring Lucifer back." Eden stated, trying to get some answers.
"You won't just be bringing back Lucifer. You'll be opening the gate to Hell and freeing every demon, supernatural creature and lost soul, for that is the power my sister Lilith was given by my love, Lucifer."
Eden was confused as to why she was referring to mother Lilith as her sister. That's because she is her sister! Do you know how old and powerful she is?! Rafael's voice blasted in her head. "How old are you?" Eden blurted out.
Elizabeth had a thoughtful look on her face as she contemplated whether or not she should tell Eden the truth. "I am old as mother Eve. My sister." Eden was frozen in place at the revelation. "My real name is Durgia."
"Liar." Eden spat. "Durgia is dead and if you were Durgia, you would be leading The Sisterhood and not some unknown mistress."
"I have no need to lie child, now let me tell you a tale about a reckless young girl named Durgia who fell in love with a hunter. Does that remind you of anyone?"
"How do you know about me and Rafael?"
"Does it really matter?" Durgia snapped. "She fell for a white haired man named Taiel Infernus who in the end betrayed her and destroyed her relic so she was unable to be reborn and resorted to body jumping for centuries thus diminishing her once great powers to nothing but simple tricks."
"I still don't believe you." Eden monotoned.
"Oh shut up child the sacrifice is about to be made." Everyone was now looking towards a lady cloaked in pure gold, holding a baby. Then it struck Eden like a bolt of lightning. They were about to sacrifice the baby. Eden looked at the cute baby boy. He looked so peaceful and most of all helpless. Eden if you don't something I will. A voice threatened in her head, this time it was Knox.
I can't do anything Knox. I won't abandon my plan, I need to find out more about them and I certainly won't have you messing it up. Eden thought back.
Well then I guess I don't really know you at all. Gabriel was right. All witches are cold and heartless.
Eden was shocked when she heard him think back. How could he hear her? And for how long? The wind picked up and the once orange flame was now a steel blue as Knox began to release energy into the atmosphere.
"You insolent wretch. Stop what you're doing or I'll end your life." Durgia threatened prompting Eden to swear it wasn't her. "Then what is this power?.................Kanai!!!!"
Most of the witches disappeared, leaving a hand full to fight, they were obviously traditional. "What's a kanai?" Eden asked.
"A witches worst enemy. I thought we wiped them out but apparently the cockroaches still survived." Durgia created a fire ball in her hand and gathered together with her fellow sister witches. The lady cloaked in gold came over to the pair with the baby asking what was going on. She's obviously their leader but I can't see her face with that cloak on...., Eden thought. The winds became boisterous causing trees to topple over. Two men in cloaks - one in black and the other in red - came from out of the forest. The red one was obviously Knox since he had his hands stretched towards the skies but the man in black was a mystery.
"Donn Moi Se La Vroh." The Sisters chanted, except for Durgia and their leader who were true and cradle witches . " Kondu Feh Aila." Knox was now bowing is head in pain but the man in black seemed unaffected by the spell. "Ra Donn Toi Moi."
Eden save the child or you're dead to me. Rafael's voice spat and without her consent, she moved. She grabbed the baby boy then let out a burst of energy sending the coven a few feet back but Durgia and her mistress was still standing. "We could've had it all you filthy peasant girl." Durgia lunged at Eden but something froze her in place.
"I thought I told you no harm should come to her not even by you." The mysterious leader spoke up then shoved her hand right through Durgia's chest. Eden was confused as to why this woman would murder one of her most valuable members for her. The woman turned to Eden prompting Eden to hold the baby boy closer her. "I'd die before I let you kill an innocent child." Eden declared, setting a circle of fire around her.
"Everyone must die someday my dear........but today is not your day. I'll be in touch." mystery woman answered creepily before disappearing with her sisters.
The baby started crying as a staggering Knox and the mystery man came running to Eden's side. "It's okay baby, it's okay. Am gonna take good care of you." Eden cooed.
"The hell you are!!" Knox yelled, trying to snatch the baby away from The Countess but she threw him back.
"I don't know what you are and I can't exactly trust mystery man over here. What's the matter cat got your tongue mister mystery?" Eden joked causing the baby to laugh. "Aw he has a sense of humor. He needs a name." Eden smiled at the hazel eyed baby boy.
"How about Rafael?" mystery said in a distorted voice.
"Oh it's speaks and no that name holds too much pain, I can't even say it without having a mental breakdown." she trailed off before speaking again "How about Mathias? Yes that's an excellent name for my little brunette devil. Isn't it?"
"You're insane if you think I will let you walk away with this baby. You almost let them sacrifice him, you need find his parents and give him back." Knox voiced his opinion while rubbing his badly hurt bum. He had lost all faith and trust in Eden when she chose finding out about The Sisterhood over an innocent child's life. He couldn't believe this was woman who had his body all hot and bothered whenever she came near him. He thought he knew her but he thought wrong.
"His parents are dead. They killed them." Eden stated, after reading the baby's memories. A part of her was kinda happy they were dead cause she was completely in love with this baby she had only met five minutes ago. She wanted to keep it but didn't want raise it without a male figure in the home but what's the least that could happen? He turns gay? Eden would love him anyway. "Well boys it was fun talking to you but I have house spell and a baby to raise. Knox you have a lot of explaining to do."
"I don't need explain myself to a witch. Just know that I'm coming for that baby." Knox promised.
"You should know that I don't take threats well, you'll be making a big mistake if you come after me or him. Be careful when playing with a hornet's nest boy, you don't want to get stung." and with that Eden walked off into the woods with the new addition to her family leaving a fuming Knox and mystery man.
"I know I'm dead but if you hurt her Knox, I will make you suffer in ways you've never seen in all your four hundred years of life." then he faded into nothing.
