Max's POV:
I answered the door to see my brother Jack.
Hey Bro. I said as he handed me 6 medium sized wrapped boxes.
Hey. These are for your kids. Come out in a sec and help me lift the crib out of my truck. Jack told me.
I nodded, and put the boxes next to Siva on the couch.
Presents for the kids? Siva asked.
Yep. I said walking back outside towards Jack.
I already took the liberty of putting it together for you. Jack said removing a sheet off his truck to reveal the blue crib.
Thanks Jack. I said smiling.
We lifted the crib out of his truck, carried it through the door, & up the stairs. Our mum followed us, told us to put it in Siva & I's room. Jack and I set it right next to Siva's side since I've already noticed the close bond between Nathan & Siva.
We walked back downstairs to see Kumar sitting on the floor by Siva. I waljed over and saw Nathan drinking a bottle of milk from Siva.
Hey Kumar. I greeted him as I walked over.
Hey. Which one is this one? He asked.
This is Nathan. Siva said putting the bottle down.
Nathan looked confused looking at Kumar, and reached for him.
Wow! He already likes me. Kumar said as he took Nathan in his own arms.
He didn't like me. My mum said sadly.
He will mum. It's just Kumar & Siva look alike. I said laughing with Siva.
Where's Tom? I asked my mom noticing Tom & Siva's mum weren't present.
Outside. Kumar brought a football (Soccer ball) & Tom wanted to show off his moves. My mum said laughing.
Let's go take a look then. I said leading the group to the backyard. We watched Tom play with Jack and Kumar; Nathan now being held by Siva again. The door bell rang again, and I left to go answer it. I opened the door to reveal the rest of Siva's siblings.
Hey guys everyone's in the backyard. I said leading the second group to the backyard.
Here are the sandwiches and picnic blanket. Hazel said one of Siva's older sisters said handing me a blanket and a basket of sandwiches. Siva's siblings and Jack were playing football with Tom. I stood by Siva and our mums and watched.
Your not going to play your favorite sport? My mom asked me.
Nahhh I want to watch Tom's moves. I said my eyes following Tom's moves.
Will you hold Nathan while I eat a sandwich? Siva asked me.
I tore my eyes from Tom to see Siva holding a sleeping Nathan to me.
Sure. I said taking Nathan in my arms.
Siva went over to the basket with our mothers, and ate a sandwich.
My first time holding Nathan without him crying. I felt proud even though he was asleep. After Siva and our moms ate Siva took Nathan back, & I ate with the rest of the family. Tom opened his presents and I opened Nathan's which were toys, clothes, and books. Tom didn't appear interested in the books so I put them inside the office. Tom and I thanked our family, & soon they were gone.
Later that night I gave Tom a bath while Siva gave Nathan one. I dressed Tom for bed while Siva did the same to Nathan. Then, Siva put Nathan in his crib and Tom crawled in between Siva and I. He slept with us for the first night. Nathan was a quiet baby all through the night only waking up and crying once. Siva changed his diaper and put him back down seeing as Tom was lying on me. First day as parents. So far so good.
