Siva's POV:
Tom stayed home with us for the rest of the week to rest. On the weekend, Tom and Nathan went to the McGuiness' house for a playdate with Jay & his other siblings. Max and I decided to have lunch at a restaurant close to home just in case something else happen.
Will that be all? The waitress asked us.
Yes thank you. I said smiling as she walked away.
Max didn't say anything as he ate so I broke the silence.
I don't want him returning to that school. I started.
He needs to go back. Stand up for himself. Max said disagreeing with me. I didn't understand why he'd want his son to go back. Go back and get beaten up again.
Max he's just going to get hurt again. I don't think its a good idea. I said.
He's made friends there. I know he makes friends easily, but what about those friends? He likes that little blonde girl too. He wouldn't want to leave her. Max said looking away from his food to my eyes.
He can make new friends. He can still talk to his other friends maybe on weekends. Max he's 5! He doesn't know anything about love at such a young age. He'll move on to the next one. I said as Max shook his head.
I switched schools Seev. I lost contact with most of my friends. What if he's bullied at the next school? What if he has to switch again? Max asked.
I saw his point, but what if he's wrong? What if he makes more friends if he switches? I thought on until Max spoke again.
Doesn't James have a brother in Tom's class? Maybe they could be friends. Max said finishing his food. I had forgotten mine was even there.
Maybe we could ask him to stick around Tom's side for the week. Max went on.
Maybe. We could ask Maureen. I said taking a bite of my food.
We stayed until I finished my food then we went to the McGuiness' house.
Maureen opened the door to us, and smiled.
Back so soon? She asked welcoming us in.
We wanted to ask a favor actually. I said as we sat at their table.
Which is? She asked as Tom and James ran in.
Do Nath and I have to go already? Tom asked disappointed.
No we came to talk to James' mother. Max told him.
I changed my name to Jay. I like it better. James told us.
Ok we came to talk to Jay's mother then. Max said as Jay and Tom ran up the stairs.
He's been going as Jay ever since Nathan called him that. Maureen told us.
Now what was the favor? Maureen asked us.
James...umm Jay has a brother in Tom's class right? Max asked her.
Yes his name is also Tom. Maureen said laughing. (Ik Tom is his twin, but Im changing him in this story :))
Oh that's funny. I said as Max and I started laughing ourselves.
Could your Tom maybe stick around our Tom for a week? Just to make sure he's ok in the day. Max asked.
Sure. He's just like Jay, and very kind. I can actually show you how kind he is. Maureen said getting up and motioned for us to get up.
Follow me. She said as she walked upstairs. We followed until she turned around holding her finger to lips.
Look. She whispered opening the door a little.
Max and I looked to see her Tom with Nathan in his lap. He was reading a book to him.
Funny he doesn't usually let anyone else hold him. I whispered to Maureen.
Gift with little kids. She whispered back.
Later when Max, Nathan, our Tom, and I went home Max and I explained to Tom about Tom McGuiness being his friend for a week or more to watch out for him. Tom protested that he didn't need to be watched over, but later agreed when he realized he would have a Jay lookalike to play with.
