Of Cold Summers
Warm starlit nights,
Where we laugh from under the moon.
Grappling lovestruck eyes,
We've all felt that swoon.
Embassies of happiness and joy,
Thrashing in the sparkling water.
Oh, how glimmering summer is truly.
Unless, you see...
Of beseeching bites of little devils,
Of long, despairing blistering hot days.
Time becoming a waiting butler at our beck and call.
And of hurting memories of heart breaks
and 'I-No-Longer-Love-You's.
Sometimes it's a bummer,
Of cold heartless summer...
