That Night
Friends family strangers
all around the blazing fire
but my eyes kept looking at
you from across the fire
to my surprise you were
looking right back
A smile plastered on
our faces and we
both had this want to
get to know one another
with a possibility that we
might just be more than friends
Hours upon hours past
very well acquainted by then
Friends but we wanted to be more
and I thank that summer night
for allowing me to meet her
Married now we are
the magic never leaving
eternal grateful
forever together and forever more
