Chapter 13, The First Master

Lucy's Pov, 

A bright light blinded me and everyone. Soon as the light died down the first master of Fairy Tail was standing there smiling at me. "You freed me, thank you Lucy" Master Mavis smiled at me and then turned around, glaring at Zeref and Mard Geer. Zeref was staring shocked as Mard Geer sent his vine at Mavis. "First master" I nearly shouted worried as Aquarius stopped the vine. "Read you idiot girl" Aquarius snapped as I nodded and kept reading the book of E.N.D. I had no other choice. There had to be a way.

I heard a battle happen all around me as I got to the last page..

First master Mavis came over as I showed her the page. She then started thinking. "I can send you into his mind" Mavis then offered as I nodded. "Please" I begged her as she started chanting. Zeref tried using a dark spell on her but Loke stopped him with a punch to the face. My eyes were closed as I felt my body fall forwards onto the ground. My eyes opened as I was in a dark space, looking around a little scared. I heard Natsu in pain as I saw him, he was in back and white, his face in pain as I floated over to him.

"Natsu" I called out to him. His eyes shot open as he looked at me. He was staring at me shocked as I smiled at him. I placed my hand on his cheek. "We believe in you Natsu" I then whispered as I was grabbed from behind, dragging backwards. "LUCY" Natsu shouted and tried reaching to me but was grabbed from behind by a type of vine. I was pulled to a warm body and heard E.N.D's chuckle. "My Star" he then whispered in my ear. I felt fear slowly grow inside me. This was his mind. He could do anything to me.

"NATSU YOU ARE STRONGER THAN ANYONE I HAVE EVER MET" I then screamed my eyes watering as I felt a tear go down my cheek. Natsu stared shocked as I smiled at him. "We Fairy Tail wizards never stop right?" I asked my voice cracking a little. Natsu's hands turned into fist as he slowly turned back into colour. He set his whole body on fire, burning the vine holding him. I heard E.N.D growl. "E.N.D is just another part of you that you need to tame Natsu" I then added as I was thrown. I hit something hurt my back.

I was thrown pretty hard as blood came out my mouth. "Lucy" Natsu nearly shouted, rushing to my side helping me. I had great pain in my back. "I believe in you Natsu" I then whispered looking at him smiling. Natsu smiled at me back as he helped me stand. "I can't do it without you Lucy, we're a team" Natsu then gave me his toothy grin. I couldn't help but smile at him, another tear going down my cheek. We then face E.N.D, Natsu rushing at him, punching him around the face. I went to move but I grabbed my gut in pain.

I-I was running out of time in Natsu's mind. "Natsu, you have to do this alone" I then whispered as I fell onto my side. Something else was hurting me. M-my body. It must of been hurt. "STAR!" I heard E.N.D as my vision started to go blurry. "LUCY" I then heard Natsu they both sounded worried for me..... "Zeref got me" I then whispered before everything went black... I couldn't hear them anymore.... I felt cold.... Weak even.......

Natsu's Pov, 

Both E.N.D and I were worried for Lucy. Zeref. I felt anger start to control me. "Screw this fighting, we need to work together and save Lucy" I nearly shouted looking at E.N.D who offered his hand nodding. I took his hand as I felt heat then around us. The next thing I know Im waking up next to the Magnolia stream near Lucy's apartment. I turned to see Lucy was bleeding laying next to me. "LUCY" I shouted a pain in my side. I didn't care. I was on my knees, holding her in my arms to see her breathing was out of sync.

"Lucy..... No.... Please..... Stay with me" I whispered my eyes watering a little as I turned my head to see Loke and Aquarius struggling to keep Mard Geer and Zeref back. Then my eyes widen to see the first master. Master Mavis walked over and put her hand on Lucy's head. "Zeref used a dark spell to kick her out of your mind" Mavis then explained as a glow came from her hand. Mavis was whispering something as Lucy started to glow. Soon as the glow was gone Lucy's breathing got better. I couldn't help but smile as she started to wake up.

"N-Natsu?" Lucy asked sounding a little weak as I gave her my signature toothy grin. "Who else?" I asked as she smiled. I then placed her carefully on the ground and got up, looking at Zeref and Mard Geer. "First master, how do we stop them?" I then asked knowing she was the master at planning attacks. Mavis then started thinking and then came to my ear, whispering the plan.....
