Chapter 16

{Alanis}

I wake up to be greeted by my brother and his friend, Elliot.
"What're you doing in my room?" I asked them.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up. We were looking for that CD you like to listen to. 5 something summer. Can we listen it? I promise I'll give it back." He asked twiddling with his fingers.
"Yes. You can. Just keep, I'll get another one." I hand him the CD and they thank me and leave.

I check my phone and see a message from Marina.
From: Marina :) at 7:32am
Heyy! Since you've done like nothing all summer, you should come down to the beach with me and Luke in a little. You can even invite Michael if you want ;)

I'm so happy her and Luke get along so well. I think she's really into him, which is good considering its been a while since she had a good guy she was into. I'll let Michael know about it.

I text Marina confirming our plans.

We all get to the beach and get out of the car. Michael intertwined his hand in mine and kisses the top of it. I loved how well our hands fit together.

We make it to the sand and set up our stuff. It was pretty late but we were going to stay the night in a hotel close by so it didn't really matter. There were many drunk people over the beach, probably some party.

I walk around the beach to try and search for a bathroom. I see a bigger male walk up towards me and hang on me. He seems drunk so I try and push him off but he clung on tight. He leaned in closer holding my arms down when suddenly he falls down on the ground, looking scared. I turn to see Michael standing there with an angered look on his face. "Michael!" I say hugging him close. He rubs my back. "Come on, baby girl. Let's go back to our friends."

"Why did you hit him?"
"Because he was going to rape you or something."
"Thank you for being there."

We walk to the hotel, me and Marina sleeping in one bed and Luke and Michael in the other. Since Marina felt more comfortable sleeping with me.

"Tonight was fun, I'm so glad you guys invited us. Goodnight peoples." I say to everyone. They all reply with their good nights and such. I slowly drift to sleep.

I'm the first to wake up in the morning. I get up and change into my normal close. Running a brush through my hair.

I walk back in and see Michaels eyes open. He sits up and stares at me. "Good morning beautiful" he says in a louder whisper so he doesn't wake up the others. "Morning" I smile at him.

He stands up and hugs me. Kissing me lightly on the cheek. We sit at a little table in the hotel.

We talk about random nonsense for a little while.

"So my brother really liked that CD you gave me from your band so I just gave it to him. Can I have another? Pretty please" I say fluttering my eyelashes at him.
"Awe you're so good with your brother. Yes of course you can my lovely."
"Thank you" I lean over and kiss him. He smiles through kiss which makes butterflies fly across my stomach. I love him so much.

Wait, what?

Love him?

Wow. I love him. I do. I smile at that thought and he smiles back.

"I love you, Michael." I say kind of in a whisper to him. His face freezes for a moment. It turns into a wide smile.

"I love you too, Alanis."
