Chapter 13

{Alanis}

Tonight is Luke's party and also his birthday. I'm excited to meet all of Michael and Lukes' friends I don't know. I hop out of my bed and pick out what I'll wear tonight. I choose a blue strapless dress that flares out at the bottom. It goes just above my knees, which keeps it a little more modest. I hear my phone buzz.

From: boyfriend <3 (Mikey) at 9:30am
Good morning baby!

His morning texts always make me smile. I love how he makes sure to text me every morning.

To: boyfriend <3 (Mikey) at 9:31am
Heys! Luke's party is tonight just a reminder ;) and btw good morning to you too.

Me and Michael continue to text back and forth about the party and other random little flirts and such as I continue to get dressed in my black skirt and red crop top that says "I woke up like this". I put on long black socks and black and white converse.

"Ready?" Michael asks me as we stand in front of Luke's door. "Yep". He squeezed me hand as we walk into to the house to see a few people like Ashton, Calum, Luke, a few girls I'd never seen, and Marina. Luke had actually invited her. I personally think they have a thing for each other, but oh well I'll ask her about it later.

As time passes by more and more people show up. Michael just sits in a corner with me. "Michael you can go hang out I'll be okay. I have Marina." I say. "You sure?" He asks. "Yeah". I smile in reassurance. "Okay babe I'll check on you in a little. Have fun." He kisses the top of my head then goes in a group with Luke, Calum, and a few girls.

A few hours past and I'm still with Marina laughing at all the drunks there. Me and her only had a little but to drink since we both had to go home to my dad considering she was staying over. Mikey had drunken a lot but I didn't mind, I wanted him to have fun.

Where is Michael? I search around the room to find my boyfriend locking lips with some blonde whore. My face heats up and I feel tears rush to my eyes. "What's wro—" Marina starts but cuts herself off once she sees him. "I'm so sorry Al." She goes to hug me but I stand up and walk over to them without hesitation.

"GET OFF MY BOYFRIEND!" I yell as I push her off of him. "You have a girlfriend?!" She raised her voice to him. His face is frozen with his mouth open. His face is whiter than before. "No. Not anymore." I say in a quiet tone of voice, answering for him. I take the ring off of my pinkie and throw it on the ground. The entire room goes silent and all eyes are on us. I storm out, I am so pissed.

{Michael}

Shit! I can't believe that just happened. That definitely killed my buzz. I run my fingers through my hair. I'm so stupid. "Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?!" The blonde girl I don't even remember the name of says to me. I suddenly feel a shock of pain causing my head to turn. She slapped me. I deserve it.

"You're such an ass wipe! How dare you do that to my best friend?! She is a great person and you're supposed to RESPECT her." Marina yells at me too. Leaving he house, most likely to go find Alanis.

I go up to the room I was staying in at Luke's house. I close the door hearing only muffled noise from outside and subconsciously cursing at myself. I'm gonna call her. I repeatedly call her 7 times and it goes straight to voicemail every time. Damn, I hope she's okay.

Tears start to run down my cheeks as I realize what just happened.

It all really sunk in at that moment. How stupid I acted. What I did to the one I cared for most.

I lost her.
