♡ You Feel Like Home to Me ♡ Luke Hemmings Fanfic

Chapter 5

It was the next day. Me and Jess made up and she seemed to be okay now, at least thats what I thought. It was a friday morning and tomorrow is the concert. I'm so excited but I don't know...I know I'm doing the right thing by including Jess but I just have a feeling something is gunna go wrong, based on how things went last time we were all together at the mall.

I was laying in bed just thinking to myself as the sun was peeking through the window.

I check my phone and notice that I have a text from Luke. I can't help but smile at my phone as I read "Good morning Nicole :-)"

"Morning Luke! :)" I reply back.

"How are you doing?" Luke replies back minutes later.

Me: I'm doing good. Excited for the concert! ;)

Luke: OMG Yes me too!! :D i can't wait to see you!

Me: awee i can't wait to see you either! :) what are you doing today? Are you free?

Luke: I'm free until rehearsal later tonight, why?

Me: Wanna meet up somewhere for a little while before rehearsal?

Luke: Sure I'd love to! How bout panda express?

Me: Sounds good, see you around noon?

Luke: yeah! :-)

I was getting ready and putting my makeup on in the bathroom that me and Jess share, when she walked into the room. She stood next to me and started doing her makeup.

"So what are your plans for today?" I ask her.

"Just going out with some friends." She says as she looks at herself in the mirror.

"Oh cool.." I stop as she just walks out of the bathroom.

"Okay. BYE!" I say irritated.

Whatever. I was gunna tell her that I had plans to go see Luke but forget it.

I head out the door and drive to panda express. When I get there I look around for Luke. I find him in a booth with his back to me. Perfect opportunity to scare him! I come up behind him and grab his shoulders. He turns around quickly and looks up at me, his baby blue eyes looking into mine as he smiles at me.

"Hey! Its about time you got here!" He says teasing me.

I sit down across from Luke and we chat for a little while.

"Do you want anything to eat?" Luke asks me as he starts to stand up.

"Oh, yeah sure." I say realizing thats probably a good idea since I haven't eaten anything. I got so distracted talking to Luke that I forgot all about getting food.

"Okay stay here, I'll get our food." Luke says.

"Aren't you gunna ask me what I want?" I ask him as he starts to walk away.

He looks back at me and says, "How bout I just surprise you."

'What is he up to?' I think to myself. I can't help but smile back at him.

A few minutes later Luke comes back with two plates of food.

"I got us both something different so can share." He says handing me a fork.

We sit and take scoops from both plates as we talk some more.

"I can't believe the concert is tomorrow! I can't wait, I've never been to a concert before..."

"WHAT?" Luke asks in shock. He puts his fork down as he looks at me with big eyes.

"Well now you're definitely getting the whole backstage experience too while you're there." He says grinning at me.

"Oh yeah...Luke I was meaning to ask you, do you mind if Jess tags along?" I ask uneasy.

"Yeah no problem!"

"Okay thanks Luke." I say smiling at him.

We finally leave panda express and decide to walk around the city together before we have to go.

We're just walking by some shops when some girls start to recognize Luke. They come up to him and ask him for pictures so of course he stops for them and greets all the fans. The girls start to look me up and down as I step to the side as Luke takes pictures with some fans. I have a feeling they think I'm Luke's girlfriend or something and I start to feel uncomfortable as they look at me.

Finally the fans all get a pic with Luke and he looks to me with a smile, "Sorry bout that, you ready to go?"

"You're fine Luke. And yeah I gotta get going soon.."

"Okay, let's go. Bye everyone!" He says as he looks back and waves to the fans as he walks away with me.

It was sweet to see Luke connect with his fans and it made me happy that his band is growing so much. It really gave me a look at his other side, his whole other world I haven't gotten to see yet. But in just 24 hours, I'll get a whole new look at Luke's band life.
