Nicole's P.O.V

It's my last day at the hospital...finally. I feel like I've been here for a month but it's only been a week and a half. I'm starting to feel better. I've just been laying in the hospital bed thinking.. Jess visited me a couple times. She's doing just fine, thank god. I'm scared what my aunt and uncle will say though. They haven't really talked to me much since that night I was brought to the hospital. They only came with Jess those couple of times. What if they hate me after this? They probably won't ever trust me with Jess again. What if they kick me out and I have to go back home? And then theres Luke. He's visited me almost every day. Most days I was just trying to get some sleep but he stayed here whenever he could. He even brought his guitar to entertain me but he has to continue his tour soon. He can't stay here for much longer. He was already supposed to be gone. I don't know whats going to happen..

I woke up feeling a hand on my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes to see Luke looking at me. He looked exhausted but somehow he still managed to give me a small smile. I smiled back and noticed the nurse standing in the doorway.

"Hey sleepyhead, you're free to go. You've been doing a lot better and you're cleared by the doctors. I'll have your friend get you a wheelchair so you can go home." The nurse said smiling at me with the good news. She motioned for Luke to follow her. He gently touched my hand and got up to follow the nurse out.

I really can't believe Luke has been doing all this for me. I don't understand it...

I heard my phone vibrate and I slowly shifted my body to pick it up off of the tray next to my bed.

I had missed calls and texts from my parents. Oh my god, they're probably freaking out right now. They knew about the accident because my aunt and uncle had to tell them but they had told me the day I got in the hospital that they wouldn't be able to make it out here, they also had my brother at home to worry about so I told them I'd be okay here by myself.

I call my mom back and she answers the phone sounding worried as heck.

"Nicole, Nicole are you okay? I've been trying to reach you constantly."

"Yeah mom, I'm fine. I've just been sleeping a lot."

"When are you coming home?"

"I don't know mom, I really can't even think about going to the airport right now..." I say stopping as Luke comes into the room with a hospital wheelchair. He looks at me concerned, mouthing 'who is it?' to me as he looks at me covering the phone.

"Its just my mom." I say to him.

"Mom I gotta go, I'm checking out of the hospital. I promise I'll call you later. I love you, bye." I say hanging up.

I look at Luke as he wheels the chair closer to me. I slowly start to make my way out of bed. Luke sees me struggling and comes to my side, giving me a hand.

"Thanks. My legs are so stiff.." I say grabbing Luke's hand and sitting down into the wheelchair.

"I had the hospital call a taxi and I'm gunna take you home okay." Luke says as he pushes me through the hospital. He checks me out at the front desk and then we head out.

Theres a taxi waiting for us and I get up and make my way to the taxi as Luke opens the door for me. When I get in Luke shuts the door and makes his way to the other side, coming in next to me.

"So am I taking you to Jess' house?" Luke asks me.

"I guess so, I don't really have anywhere else to go right now.." I say. I feel weird to be in this situation. I really don't want to go to Jess' and face her parents, or her for that matter. I'm just really not in the mood. Now I just want to go home, to MY home.
