Chapter 8

Luke's P.O.V

I still feel really bad about what happened with Nicole and her cousin...I can't get Nicole off my mind. She has to know that I like her.

The boys and I were in the dressing room gathering all our stuff together to get back on the bus when Calum came up to me.

"Hey bro, so how are you and Nicole? I heard about what happened..." Calum asked me as I was still getting my stuff togther.

"I think we're good now. I talked to her...and we kinda kissed....but of course Jess had to show up. After that I kinda just awkwardly left so I don't know what happened with her and Jess." I explain to Cal.

"Oh wow, ...are you sure all this is worth it?"

"What do you mean?" I ask Calum, suddenly with my full attention on him.

"I mean you just met this girl and it seems to be nothing but drama and her cousin keeps trying to get in the way of you two..maybe its not meant to be Luke..."

"No Calum, I really like her and I'm not gonna let her cousin ruin it for us." I say as I head back to the bus.

All of us are on the bus now and we start to pull out of the venue. I'm just sitting by the window listening to music while Michael and Calum are playing video games. Ashton is in his bunk just laying down.

We were only about ten minutes away from the venue when our bus approaches an accident. I see the lights from a police car and ambulance reflecting off of the windows of the bus. We get closer and I suddenly recognize the car.

Its Nicole's.

Its collided with another car and theres someone being brought onto a stretcher. I catch a glimpse of the face and jump out of my seat.

"Stop the bus! Please stop!" I yell as I run up to the front of the bus where my mum and the driver are. Calum, Ashton, and Michael are suddenly behind me.

"What's going on?" Calum quickly asks me.

"It's Nicole!" I say pointing out the window.

"Oh my god." Calum says in shock as he looks out at the scene.

"Stop the fucking bus!" Michael yells as he hears whats going on.

The bus driver halts to a stop and I jump out the door running towards the scene. I get near the ambulance but a police officer stops me.

"Hey kid what do you think you're doing?!" He shouts at me as my eyes are locked on the ambulance.

"That's my friend!" I say pointing.

"Well you can't get any closer. The ambulance is taking her to the hospital nearby. You can see her there."

The ambulance drives off with its sirens on and I run back to the bus.

"We have to meet her at the hospital, hurry!" I say to our driver.

Nicole's P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes and look down at myself. I'm not in my car anymore. I'm laying in a hospital bed and there's an IV in my arm. What's going on?

A nurse walks in and notices that I'm awake.

"Hey sweetie, how are you doing?" She asks me.

"What happened? Where's my cousin?" I ask confused.
