♡ You Feel Like Home to Me ♡ Luke Hemmings Fanfic

Chapter 11

It's early the next morning and I was woken up by the sound of my phone vibrating on the nightstand next to the bed.

I opened my eyes and looked around to see Luke's arms wrapped around me, the space between us no longer there. I looked at him and he was still asleep. I don't even remember him moving closer to me. He must have done it in his sleep or when I was asleep... I gently move Luke's arm off of me and slide out of bed, careful not to wake him up. He looked so adorable and peaceful. I smiled at the thought of waking up next to him.

I check my phone and find messages from my parents:

Nicole, we're gunna come see you in Florida. Your dad and I got time off from work and we're worried about you.

Nicole?

We'll be there by tomorrow.

"Shit." I quickly replied back.

No, mom its okay you don't need to come out here. I was planning on flying home this morning. I'm on my way to the airport right now. I'll see you soon.

What was I thinking?! I can't stay with Luke. My parents don't even know about him, theres no way I'd be able to hide going on tour with him. I have to get out of here. I have to get back home before my parents try to come out here and find out I'm not at Jessica's anymore.

I quickly gather my stuff and occasionally look back at Luke, still sleeping. I hate to leave him like this but I have no choice. I throw all my stuff into my suitcase and bag and carry them out of the room, looking back at Luke as I quietly close the door behind me. The door to Ashton and Michael's room is closed. They must be still asleep too. I put my bags down in the main room while I check my phone, forgetting Calum was sleeping just across the room on the couch.

Another message from my mom:

Oh okay honey. Have a safe flight. Text us when you land.

"What are you doing?"

I look up from my phone, startled, to find Calum sitting up and looking at me.

"Shhh...I have to go. The rest of the guys are still sleeping."

Calum gets up and comes towards me, looking at my packed bags.

"Does Luke know you're leaving?" Calum asked me in a deep morning voice, looking still half asleep and confused.

"No he doesn't..." I said quietly. "When he gets up later just tell him I had to go. I don't want him to worry about me, okay?"

Calum just nodded, looking sad.

"Okay, I'll tell him. Do you need help?" Calum asked me, referring to my bags.

"No, I'm okay. Thanks Cal." I give him a quick hug and turned around grabbing my bags. He opens the door for me and I look back at him once more before walking away.

"Bye, Nicole"

"Bye." I say back before Calum closes the door behind me. That felt like the hardest thing I've had to do in awhile...I don't want Luke to worry about me and I wish I could've said goodbye to him but if I woke him up and told him, I know he wouldn't have let me leave.

I head down to the hotel lobby and call for a taxi to take me to the airport.

Luke's P.O.V

I finally wake up, the sun creeping in from the window and lighting up the room. I roll over in bed and look beside me smiling. But that smile suddenly disappears.

Nicole is gone.

I sit up and look around the room. Her bags are gone too...She took her bags and left. I get up and go to Ashton and Michael's room frantically.

"Do you guys know where Nicole went?!" I ask bursting into their room. They both look like they just woke up.

"What? She left?" Ashton asks rubbing his eyes.

"Wait, when?" Michael asks confused.

"I don't know either late last night or this morning before I woke up." I say, getting worried.

Calum walks into the room and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"She left this morning....she told me she had to leave but she didn't say why."

"You knew she was leaving and you didn't tell me?!" I say raising my voice at him.

"Luke I didn't know until this morning when I woke up and caught her trying to leave."

"But why would she just leave like this and not say goodbye? She told us last night that she was gunna come with us on tour.." I said trying to hide my emotions from the guys who were all staring at me.

"Maybe it was an emergency?" Ashton suggested.

"Well Luke, she does have a family back home. She's not like us, she's not in a band that can just travel around the world. She was here by herself." Calum said defending Nicole and I suddenly realized, he's right.

"I'll be okay Luke, I'm sure she'll text you later or something. We have to pack and get ready to get back on the road." Michael said as the guys all moved around the room picking up their things.

"Okay..." I said going back to my room to start packing my things.

I was crazy to think Nicole would be able to come but I didn't want to think about saying goodbye to her. I've finally admitted it to myself. I like Nicole. I really like her and this can't be the end. I'm not just gunna forget about her. I have to see her again.

I can't believe I'm at Chapter 11 now!
