Chapter one: no no no no no why is this happening?

So I know what your thinking. This is going to be one of them cliched teenage dramas. And it probably will be. but hey. Life's not always rainbows

Hi. My name is Dee-Dee. Well. Delilah actually but hey who even calls their kid that to begin with. I was 3 when my father left and 4 when my mum was diagnosed with depression. I can't blame her though. My dad was the love of her life. He had an affair with my mum's sister. As if that wasn't bad enough but when it all happened, my family decided that it was my fault. I was the troubled child that they so preached me to be. When my parents were still together, she would come to my rescue and save my day telling them that they didn't know what they were talking about. Not any more though. Mum just sits there in front of the t.v like a dead giraffe. I'm 17 now and I still live in the suburban town house. I still have the odd orange hair that dosnt match my freckles and green eyes. I still wear my band tees. And I still skate. Some things never change with me. Oh hang on I'm getting a text

"I'm outside" it read. I instantly went to my window and saw the shiny black Cadillac that I loved so much. I couldn't help smiling as I grabbed my bag and skipped down the stairs

"Bye mum. I'm going to school" I called to my mum, not expecting a reply. And shock there was none. I knocked on the window and the door opened and I slid into the comfy leather seat

"What took you so long?" Oh that? that's just my black haired green eyes buddy. Mackenzie. No just buddy. My best friend. Since we were 2. We diaper buddies. He's been with me through everything. Through my crazed obsessions my crushes and my broken bones. I've been there just as much for him too.

"I should be asking you the same question bud" I told him

"Hey! I wasn't that late this time" he protested

"Your right, if we leave now we might only be 15 minutes late" I mocked. He gave up and his engine purred as he restarted his car.

"I still can't believe that you got your license" I sulked

"Oh come on Dee-Dee. Your just jealous that I didn't crash into a wall like you did" he laughed. We'd gone for our licence at the same time but I swear he sabotaged me. He had to of. I wouldn't have crashed other wise. All in all. They told me never to try for my license as I would kill every one in the way of my car. Mackenzie just sat there laughing so hard that he started crying and couldn't breath.

"You'll never guess who called me last night" he said in a smug kind of way

"Let me guess" I said putting my finger to my chin "oh I know! slut face. Oh no sorry I meant Melissa" she was the girl that Mackenzie has had a crush on since junior high. I didn't like her though. I. Could see that she was a selfish narsissistic evil gold digger.

"Hey, don't talk about my girlfriend like that" he said and gave me a bold smile. I just died a little inside.

Did I mention I was completely in love with my best friend?

"No" I said. He nodded never letting the smile leave his face. I had to blink back the tears as we pulled into a free parking spot at school. I couldn't believe this was happening. I knew he never saw me like that. And I would have died if he had ever found out but this. This is just so... so like him. he was always the one that got the attention out of the two of us. He was a star football player and he never even planned on playing it when we started high school. He was the one that always got into the relation ships. The one that got the gold in the swimming carnival and the running events that I had trained until I almost passed out. Yes that was just Mackenzie. I was pretty much one of the boys as he described it. I know I spend a lot of time with them as I was always with Mackenzie or at the skate park... With Mackenzie. But still....

"Hey baby" a stupid voice interrupted my pondering. She walked straight over in her shorts that hardly covered her ass and a top that just covered her boobs leaving her belly ring showing completely. As soon as she got near us, she went straight for Mackenzie and before he could say anything, she attacked his face. I felt dead. I wanted the ground to open up and take me to the depths of hell as I stood there unable to stop her from sucking Mackenzie's face off. I think the part that made me leave was when he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back.

"Hey dork" Ryan called as I put my bag in my locker. Usually I would be offended by this. But at the moment I feel nothing

"What's wrong?" he asks, his face changing to worry

"Nothing" I sighed

"Yeah right" he scoffed

"It dosnt even matter so can you drop it please?" I asked quickly. He shrugged and swooped up the books that fell out of my locker. He pushes me out the way an begins cleaning up my locker. Of it was anyone else I would be angry. But I was pretty close with Ryan as well as Mackenzie. We'd met him when we first started school here.

"Are you sure your ok?" he asked when he gave me my books for first period "where's Mackenzie?" I shrugged

"With the social whale" I guessed. He knew who I meant

"But what about..?" I didn't let him finish

"He still doesn't know" I replied. It was true. I'd never told him that Melissa hated me. And bullied me. And told me to kill myself on numerous occasions. She led an army of brain washed minions who were devoted on demolishing me and making me disappear off the face of the earth. I saw Ryan's baby blue eyes flicker up and then back at me

"What's..." before I could finish I felt some thing tug at the messy ponytail I'd put up in a hurry to get ready

"What the" I yelped. It was Mackenzie.

"Hey youse" he smiled "what are you talking about?" I could almost hear Ryan's brain whir as he tried to think of an excuse

"Uh football" he stumbled

"O-Kay then" he said weirdly

He shook his head and melted me as his eyes bore into me. His beautiful green eyes

"What?" he asked

"Nothing" I whispered. I cleared my throat "nothing" I repeated

"What is up with you two today?" he asked as the bell rang. Ryan winked at me

"Saved by the bell" he mouthed to me. Indeed we were saved by the bell. I don't know how much longer I could've lasted before I did something stupid.
