Chapter 4. "CALEB!!!"

Caleb's POV
Lilly texted that she was on her way and honestly I'm so excited.

I told her that we were also going to see a movie with my sisters.

Finally she arrived. I sprinted to the door and opened it, seeing Lilly with her signature, beautiful smile.

"Hi Caleb!" She greeted as she hugged me. "Where are the girls?"

"Right here!" Hayley said as she hugged Lilly.

Lilly smiled as Annie came over and hugged her next.

"So when are we going to the movies?" She asked.

"In a few minutes, Mom is upstairs right now packing for LA." I explained.

"LA? But you were just in Orlando!" Lilly exclaimed.

"We're just going for a fun mini vacation." Annie said. "We mostly go places for meet ups, Vidcon, or Playlist Live. A lot of our trips are business related."

Just then Mom came down the stairs and greeted Lilly as she grabbed the car keys.

I sat in the back with Lilly while Annie and Hayley sat in the middle. When no one was looking, I took Lilly's hand and smiled at her. She smiled back.

When we got to the theater we waved bye to Mom, then we quickly payed for our tickets, bought popcorn, and headed to our theater room.

Ha, we were in lucky number 7! My favorite number!

Lilly and I sat a row behind Annie and Hayley. We chatted about our lives some more while the previews were on.

"How long have you been doing baseball?" She asked me as she took a bite of popcorn.

"A long time." I laughed. "How about you with cheerleading?"

"A long time." She said.

We laughed and then became quiet when the lights dimmed and the movie started. We were seeing Nerve.

When Vee had to walk across the buildings on a tightrope, Lilly got a little scared and inched closer to me. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and pulled her in closer and tighter to me. She wrapped her arms around my chest and laid her head on my shoulder.

During the movie at one point I looked over at Lilly. She was so beautiful and stunning. I guess I couldn't help myself, because I leaned in towards her.

She turned her head and was about to say, "Caleb, what are you doing?" before I grabbed her chin and pulled her face towards mine. Then, my lips touched hers.

I gently kissed her for a while until she decided to kiss me back. We kissed slowly and gently before she pulled away smiling.

After the movie we just sat outside waiting for Mom. While sitting on a bench, Lilly asked, "Why'd you kiss me?"

"Because I like you." I said as I held her hand.

Lilly sighed. That wasn't a good sign.

"W-what's wrong?" I asked.

She sighed again before saying, "I don't know if I feel this way about you, Caleb."

"Oh." I said as I let go of her hand. I took my hoodie and placed it over my head so no one would see my face turn bright red. I was so embarrassed! How could I kiss a girl who didn't like me that way back?!

"Caleb, you don't have to be this way." Lilly said about my attitude.

"No, it's fine." I snapped as I pulled the hoodie over my face.

Lilly sighed again. She got up after a few seconds and walked over to Annie and Hayley who were near the edge of the street doing handstands.

Just then I heard Lilly scream, "Hayley, look out!"

I quickly took off my hoodie and saw a car swerving out of control and heading towards Hayley.

I screamed, "Hayley, no!" as I ran over to her. I then pushed her as hard as I could out of the way. I saw Hayley go flying as she landed on the hard, concrete floor.

That must've hurt, but not as bad as this.

I was about to leap out of the way when the car hit me. This time I went flying and hit my head against the wall as I heard everyone scream, "CALEB!!!"

Then everything went black.
