Harry (continued)

Jessica was dead. Harry could not stop thinking about it as he walked through the front door where he was ambushed by a relieved Ginny.

"Oh, Harry!" She cried, her arms still around his neck. "I was so worried," her chocolate eyes scanned Harry's face, her expression clouded. "What's wrong, Harry?"

Harry avoided her gaze as he said, "Jess got killed, it was a trap, I led them to a trap." He pulled himself from her arms gently and put his face in his hands. "I killed her!" He moaned, "it's all my fault, just like Fred and Lupin and Tonks and Sirius and my parents! They all died because I was stupid!"

"That's hardly fair," Ginny said softly, "they died to save the world from Voldemort, not because of you."

"But if I had been killed instead of Fred-"

Ginny cut him off, "Voldemort would still be at large."

Harry could not believe her, "I killed them, all of them," he began to lose his restraint, "I did it, it was me! What if- what if I wanted them to die? I mean, they died saving me, I could have stopped it. IT WAS ME! I KILLED THEM! I DESERVE TO DIE!"

And he blacked out.

Ginny

"I killed them, all of them," he began to lose his restraint, "I did it, it was me! What if- what if I wanted them to die? I mean, they died saving me, I could have stopped it. IT WAS ME! I KILLED THEM! I DESERVE TO DIE!"

And he blacked out.

Ginny dropped to her knees beside Harry, Ginny had never seen him lose control like that. There had always been something so secure and composed about Harry. But as she knelt beside him, she realised how much Harry kept bottled up.

George came into the entrance hall and his mouth dropped as his eyes landed on Harry, "what happened?" He asked, agog.

"Harry had a little breakdown," Ginny explained, "and then...I don't know...he just passed out."

"Well, we should - er - take him to St Mungo's," George said, "I'll stay here, you take him."

Ginny nodded, she grabbed Harry's cold hand and dissapparated.

They arrived at St Mungo's and Ginny yelled for a healer until one came running, he was a pleasant man called Shane Cleath, he conjured a stretcher for Harry and took him and Ginny into a private room.

"Will he be all right?" Ginny asked, watching fearfully as Shane examined Harry.

Shane straightened up, "yeah, he should wake up in a few hours or so. Could you tell me what happened, please?"

Ginny scratched her nose, unsure of where to start. "Well...he came home from an assignment which had turned out to be a trap - he's an auror, you see - and one of his colleagues had been killed. He started shouting about how her death was his fault and there was other names brought in and apparently their deaths were his fault as well and then he blacked out..."

Shane, who had been taking notes through this explanation, nodded and said, "I might need to run some tests and then keep him in for overnight observation."

Ginny's heart skipped a beat, "tests?" She repeated, "what kind of tests?"

Shane, presumably seeing her terrified expression, said, "nothing too serious, we just need to test his blood pressure levels and things like that."

Her heart stopped beating madly and Ginny exhaled with relief, "oh, OK."

"If you want a drink there's a tea room on this floor," Shane smiled, "I'll be back soon," he left.
