Ginny

KNOCKKNOCKKOCKKNOCK!

Ginny opened her eyes, pulled on a dressing gown and hurried down stairs. She opened the door to find her brother George standing on the doorstep, eyes alight with indescribable happiness. He didn't waste any time, "Angelina's gone into labour!" He exclaimed, "do you want to help deliver your nephew?"

Ginny could have jumped for joy, "yes! Oh, yes! Let me just wake the others!" She invited George in then rushed up the stairs, taking the steps two at a time. It took a while to wake Harry up, but once he was roused, Ginny ran through to shake Hermione awake and throw a pillow at her brother Ron.

"Oi!" Ron cried indignantly, "a simple 'wake up' would have been acceptable."

"Yeah," Ginny said indifferently, "you should know now that I don't do 'acceptable', I go above and beyond!"

"What do you want, you nearly gave me a bloody heart attack." Ron snapped, Ginny's brother had never been a morning person in his defence.

"Angelina's gone into labour!" Ginny exclaimed, her excitement bubbling up like a cauldron that Neville had made a potion in.

Hermione gave a shriek of excitement and leapt from the bed, Ron was less enthusiastic but got out of bed nevertheless and Ginny knew her brother had a very specific way of showing excitement. As in, he didn't. Not letting Ron bother her, Ginny ran back through to hers and Harry's room to find her husband back asleep. Ginny couldn't help but smile as she watched him, his rumpled hair, pale skin flushed in his slumber, the ageing taken away from his face, he could be the boy she had fell in love with all those years ago-no, stop it, Ginny. She scolded herself. You have to wake him up, stop going all soft and mushy.

"Harry!" Ginny said reproachfully, "get out of bed, Angelina's having a baby. Up! Get up! Come on," she smiled slightly as she attempted to drag her man out of bed. She knelt down so they were face to face and kissed his lips once. "There, did that wake you up?"

"I don't think I'm full awake yet, maybe once more?"

Ginny kissed him again and felt the corners of his mouth forming a smile against her own. "Now?" Ginny asked.

"One more?" Harry's muffled reply came from under the covers.

Ginny flicked his cheek gently, "you're taking the mick now. Get up," she hurried back down the stairs to find George pacing nervously.

Ginny, Harry, Hermione and Ron sat in the waiting room at St Mungo's. Hours had passed and still no news. Getting tired of the quietness, Ginny got to her feet and announced, "I'm going to get some coffee, anyone want anything?"

Of course, there were requests, Ron wanted tea, Hermione wanted coffee.

"I'll give you a hand," Harry said, getting to his feet and accompanying Ginny from the room. They had gone up two flights of stairs before Harry grabbed Ginny's waist and pulled her into a corner. "I can't wait for ours," he whispered, his breath tickling the red-head's neck.

"Easy for you to say, you don't have to give birth to it," Ginny grumbled half-heartedly.

"Hhmn, maybe not, but I have to hear you scream and that hurts me," Harry murmured against her neck. He had a tendency to say things like that, which made Ginny's heart melt. Harry pressed his lips against hers and pushed her into oblivion with the contact.

"Hehem," they were interrupted by a woman's cough.

Ginny broke away from Harry and saw a very flustered looking healer standing infront of them. "Ex- excuse me," the healer stammered, "I just need to..." she trailed off, gesturing wordlessly to something behind the previously kissing couple. Ginny turned to look at what the healer was pointing to, a door.
