Ginny (continued)
A week later, Ginny lay in a hospital bed at St Mungo's, she had insisted she was fine but the Healers refused to let her go. She sighed and stared at the ceiling, bored out of her mind. She looked across at Hermione who had been drugged to sleep, she looked so peaceful but Ginny knew she was terrified all the time.
Her thoughts were broken by her Healer entering the room.
"Hello, Ginny, how are you feeling?" Asked Hilda.
"Bored," Ginny replied idly, staring at the back of her pale hands.
Hilda smiled, "understandable, an active person like you shouldn't be cooped up like this. Also, your mother called, she would like you to know James is perfectly fine."
Ginny felt her heart twist like someone had driven a scalding knife into it, her baby, her baby James. She missed him so much.
Hilda grinned broadly as she glanced towards the door, "you have a visitor," she left the room and in came Harry Potter, her Harry.
Ginny felt her face split into a wide smile, "Ha-" She caught herself quickly, making sure not to say his name in case it set him off.
"It's OK, I'm fine now."
"Harry," Ginny whispered, reaching out her hand to him, he caught onto it and pressed it against his lips. Ginny felt shivers erupt from the space his hand had touched and they tingled their way down her arm.
"I'm back," smiled Harry, he settled himself on the edge of Ginny's bed, still clasping her hand in his. "But, seriously, though, how are you?"
"I'm all right," Ginny mumbled, "little bashed up and shocked, but, other than that..."
To Ginny's surprise, there were tears glistening in Harry's emerald eyes. "Gin," he said, not even bothering to wipe them away. "I am so sorry, I should have fought harder to leave here and save you. I shouldn't have left you, I should have found some way to get to you. I love you and I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault," Ginny managed to say, her throat tight, "you couldn't have got to me, I didn't expect you to. I love you, more than anything, I could never blame you for what happened.
Harry lowered his head as tears dripped of his face, "I love you too, sweetheart."
***
A week later, Harry, Ginny and Hermione went home to Grimmauld Place. That very day, Mrs Weasley came over to Grimmauld Place, with baby James. Ginny was completely overjoyed to see her son and she knew Harry was equally as happy.
That very night of their first time back at Grimmauld Place, Harry and Ginny sat with their arms around each other, holding James, while Ron and Hermione cuddled and kissed. It was the first time in a long while Ginny had felt relaxed and happy. Harry fiddled with Ginny's hair and kissed her cheek, making Ginny feel safe. She always felt safe in Harry's arms. Ron and Hermione were distracting Ginny from her husband, they were getting rather passionate.
"For the love of Merlin," Ginny said abruptly, "get a room!"
Hermione pulled her lips away from Ron's creating a noise like a plunger, "fine, we will."
"Good," was Ginny's reply.
Hermione took Ron's hand and led him from the room.
Harry gave a huge stretch, "maybe we should turn in too, I'm exhausted."
"Mm," Ginny replied absently, not wanting to break the moment, it was so perfect, but she was so tired. Ginny got to her feet, "lets go."
Taking Harry's hand, Ginny walked from the room, up the stairs, first to James's room, where they tucked him into bed and next to their own room.
