***Above is the arm tattoo that Brianne got!***
The next morning I woke up nervous. I didn't know how my Aunt and Rachel's parents are going to handle all of this. Though, my aunt must know something about us shifters. How else would she know I took mom's arm band?
I wonder how Rachel got her parents on board with all of this. I know they are pretty laid back, but so laid back that they would just pack up and leave if they got the tickets? I'm sure there was some more convincing to do. I sure hope so at least.
I had put a pair of sweatpants on and a V-neck t-shirt. I walked into the kitchen barefoot and started pulling out things for breakfast. Everyone spent so many hours on that jet, I bet they want some real breakfast.
I made pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns with freshly squeezed orange juice. I had pulled some glasses and plates out when my aunt Maggie walked in.
"Up so early?" she said.
"Yea, couldn't sleep. Had to do something productive."
"Wow, this place really has changed you." she said and laughed.
You have no idea, I thought.
"Come make your plate." I said.
She nodded her head and made her plate. Then she advanced towards me with a serious face. Which I knew wouldn't stay for long- my aunt wasn't a very serious person. She'd be laughing about the situation soon.
"So, who's Lucas?" She asked and pursed her lips.
"He was friends with mom and dad."
"I mean, who is he to you?" she asked. "Is he your boyfriend?"
That was a good question. I know things have been a little crazy lately, am I ready for that step?
"It's complicated, I guess." I answered.
"Uh huh, I bet it is. I see the way you two look at each other."
"A lot of people have been saying that lately." We both laughed, then she regained her serious tone.
"When did you get those tattoos?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you the truth."
"Just say it."
"Not even an hour before I saw you."
"Lair."
"I told you!" I laughed.
"You're for real? Where did you get it? And who is your artist?"
"Again, you wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"Who? Where?" she asked again.
"A fairy. In the middle of the woods."
"Ok, maybe we do need to talk... to a psychiatrist." We laughed.
"Unfortunately, Brianne is right." Lucas' voice was drowsy and low.
"Oh, please don't tell me you got your boyfriend in on this too." She whined at me.
I laughed and shook my head. "Let me start from the beginning. I first met Lucas when I found... you know...," I trailed off.
"About that, I'm so sorry you had to see that. The police came to me the a couple hours after they found them and told me you and Rachel went missing too. I freaked." Maggie said.
"I know, I should have called you sooner. But, since that day, Lucas has helped me and Rachel out. We had our bumps in the road, but we fixed those. I've been going through some dramatic changes in my body, and Lucas is helping me through it."
