***Above is... well you'll know when you read it :)***

My dad used to tell me stories about fairies that lived in the deepest, darkest parts of the woods. He used to tell me that one day, I would meet one in real life. He used to tell me that they could give you powers. As a kid, I believed him. Just as any other kid would. But, as I grew up I lost interest in fairy tales. Every time dad would say something about fairies, I would laugh. I would joke with him and tell him that he was losing his mind- that they were child stories. And I wasn't a child anymore.

So, when you have a fairy floating in front of you, you start to think you're losing your mind too. But what over powered that feeling was guilt. I had called my father crazy instead of believing him.

I them remembered that the fairy- which is really weird to say out loud- and Lucas were waiting for me to say something.

"The are called Fae." Lucas whispered.

The 'Fae' bowed her head and smiled. She then few closer to me and studied my facial features.

"Close your mouth dear, you'll swallow a fairy." The Fae chuckled. "My apologies,
my name is Merliene, the Queen Fae here." She said in a high, but pleasant voice.

"Hi. Brianne." I still couldn't process this.

"I know dear. Lucas here, never stops talking about you! You're something really special dear." Merliene chuckled.

"I'm glad to hear that." I smiled and looked up into Lucas' nervous eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"He's nervous." Merliene said.

"For what?" I asked.

"For whats going to happen." Merliene answered again.

I was beginning to grow nervous. But Merliene's infectious smile made my nervousness go away.

"Come with me." Merliene said. "Let's give Lucas some time alone to gather himself."

I looked up at Lucas and he nodded and forced a smile. I wonder what's got him so nervous. I slowly pulled away from Lucas and walked towards Merliene. "Let me show you around." She said.

I followed her through the forest, listening and paying attention to where I was. I knew that I would be coming back; I needed to know my way around. Merliene showed me around the beautiful gardens, the little mushroom houses and the Fae town.

Ten minutes had passed and I had started to feel anxious and a little sick to my stomach. Something was gnawing a the back of my head. Whatever was bothering Lucas was starting to bother me now. Merliene must have sensed my anxiousness and started to head back the way we came. I followed her to the clearing and when I saw Lucas, I practically ran and jumped in his arms.

He buried his nose in my neck and when the skin touched I felt a shock. It wasn't the same shock you get by rubbing socks on carpet and touching a door knob. This shock felt like a lightning bolt cracking through our chests. We both gasped, jumping back in shock.

"Did you feel that?"Lucas asked me.

I nodded my head and he looked at Merliene.

She smiled wildly and looked between us two. "Do it." She suddenly said.

What? Do what? Lucas slowly walked over to me and grabbed a back velvet box out of his pocket. What was he doing?

He opened the box and showed me the object inside. There was a necklace inside. The charm almost as big as my thumb. It consisted of different twisting materials. The base was a thick very light blue with a silver twist on top. The over it all was a diamond that looked like a flower.
