Acnologia's Child.

Chapter 5

Luna POV:

As I wake up rubbing my eyes Twilight is sleeping next to me, she is such a beautiful kitten and what's amazing about her is she can fly! Last night she woke me up because she was flying in her sleep, so I had to chase after her and catch her before she woke up otherwise she would have flown right over the cliff.

"Wake up Twilight, you need to help me this morning to set the snares for food. Think you can help with that?" I ask as I shake her softly.

She replies with a meow and sits on my shoulder.

"Lets go then, I'm a little soar from the testing uncle Z made me do but I guess I'll just have to ignore it. Lets go catch some food." I say scratching the top of her head.

As I slip on my black boots Twilight stares at me with soft blue eyes, they remind me of the sky at sunset. I stand up and she fly's onto my shoulder so we walk to the mouth of the cave, I'm about to jump when someone stops me.

"Not today Luna...." Dad says behind me.

"What do you mean? We have to set the snares for breakfast, and I need to water the garden and harvest the peas and carrots and....." I start but he cuts me off.

"Go and pack a bag, only take the things you cant live without. We're leaving this place forever."  Dad says and places a hand on my head. "Don't ask any questions right now just do as I ask. Please."

I stand there stunned, leave? How could we leave our cave? I grew up here, this is where I learnt magic for the first time and its where I met daddy. Too stunned to say anything I just walk back to my room and grab my bag, its something dad gave me and it has magic in it so I can fill it as much as I want and it wont affect the weight. The first thing I pick up is my memory book. Its something I started when I was six years old, my memories were something that linked me to a life I couldn't return to. But it also reminded me that at one point I had a family, me and my other two sisters and my brother, also we had parents. I don't remember their names but I can remember that I was the youngest one so I wrote down everything I could about my life before.

The only other things I put into my bags are basic things like clothes and my books. I place the bag onto my back and walk over to where dad is waiting for me, I turn around and look at the place where so many happy times were had.

"Do we have to go?" I ask while tears fill my eyes.

"Yes, now. Come." Dad says taking my hand.

Twilight sits on my shoulder and puts a paw onto my cheek, almost like she is offering me comfort. I smile at her and then slide down the cliff for the last time, and dad then turns into his dragon form and motions for me to climb onto his back. I climb on and hold Twilight in my arms as we soar over the forest that I've hunted in for years, tears are now flowing freely down my cheeks and my sniffing is getting louder and louder.

"Don't worry Luna, we will be at our new home soon. Its far away from where we lived but its close to another town where you can buy new clothes, food and hopefully Z wont be coming to see you anymore. Also someone might be coming to battle with me, so I will need you at my side to help me defeat him. People have wanted me for a while now and so I will need your help." He says to me as we soar.

"I'll do what ever I can to help you dad, I know that people have wanted you by the way you don't go out anymore. I'll help as much as I can." I say and ignite my hand with a blue flame, this is what my magic looks like. A blue flame with silver specks. Twilight looks at me and raises a paw into the air. "Twilight will help me too."

We keep flying and then land not too far from a city of some type, with lots of people there. We land close to another cave and I'm guessing this is where we will be living from now on, I jump of dads back and hold Twilight in my arms. I don't like this place, it looks cold and damp and not very comfy.

"Are we really living here? It looks horrible." I say as I walk inside, its not as big as the other cave and it doesn't have the crystals on the walls.

"You'll just have to get used to it, I know its hard but your just going to suck it up." He grabs my shoulders and stares at me. "Its your birthday tomorrow, what do you want to do?" He asks me his voice softer.

"I um...." I say thinking. "Could we go to a cake shop in the town? I want to have a real birthday cake." I say smiling, he's trying to distract me. And its working.

"If we get the cake and come back here, of course we can." He says smiling at me.

"Thanks, also what's my birthday present?" I ask opening my eyes wide.

"You'll have to wait and see, now go and have a little wonder around the city. But when I call you, you need to come right back ok?" He asks me pressing some money into my hand.

"We wont go too far!" I yell as Twilight and I run through the forest.

As we run I start to get the feeling that we're not alone here, I listen with my dragon slayer hearing and can hear someone walking. Back to our cave! I run as fast as my legs can carry me and see dad fighting with a man. Dad's in his dragon form and is giving the fight not even half of his power, the man he is fighting however is giving it everything he can. The man has burnt orange hair and is wearing a brown cloak of some kind. He is using destructive magic and looks like he could be a danger to dad!

"Daddy!" I yell and the man looks towards me with a shocked face.

"Get out of here kid! This monster is dangerous!" The man yells to me.

I run out and face him.

"My dad is not the monster, you are! Your the one fighting him!" I yell into his face.

"Luna get back!" Dad yells to me.

I look at him and run back to his side, he lowers his hand and I climb into it and then climb onto his back.

"Don't tell me your a dragon slayer!" The man yells at me.

Dragon Slayer? How does he know about them?

Dad then charges at him and swipes his claw at him, taking off an arm, leg and causing a large wound in his stomach. I've never seen so much blood in all my life...

"Dad...He needs help...." I say looking at the man writhing in agony.

"I'm going to hide, you go get him help and then run straight home. Go Now!" He yells at me and I jump off his back.

The image of all the blood makes me vomit not too far from where the man is, I run to the closest house and tell them about the man they immediately run and help him. They ask my name but I just ignore them and walk home slowly. This was a different side to dad that I have never seen before, this side of him made me weary of him. But I still love him because he's my father.

I just hope Z isn't messing with his mind....
