Chapter 46

Luna POV:
Snarling I helped some of the injured wizards onto my back and then flew towards the castle, there were strong enchantments around it so it was a safe haven for those living in Crocus. Once everyone was dropped off at the palace I flew at MotherGlare, my jaws wide open, once close enough I bit down hard on MotherGlare's neck. With a loud roar she tried to swing me off bur I held on, my jaws in an iron lock. Rogue then noticed what I was doing and jumped down sending one of his attacks at me, it burned my scales and felt like fire was shooting through me. I'd been hurt by dragon slayer magic before but I guess since I now was a dragon it hurt much more, releasing MotherGlare from my jaw I decided to help Wendy and Laxus with Zirconis.

However on my way over I noticed Natsu on the back of the Flame dragon, Rogue had been talking about how he would become the new king of dragons once Acnologia and I were killed. Anger boiled inside me hearing him talk so reverently about mine and my father's death, but then Natsu and the flame dragon gained on them.

"We don't need such a dirty light!" Natsu yelled riding the dragon. "Our light is inside our hearts! And with that light of yours, I can't see anything!"

With that the dragon rammed him self into MotherGlare's face, both dragons cried out and Rogue looked at the flame dragon with wide angry eyes.

"Why is he riding a dragon? Did you betray me Atlas Flame?!" Rogue yelled annoyed, so the dragon's name is Atlas Flame.

"I just followed my heart, Igneel's son is my friend." Atlas Flame said with a smirk on his face.

Knowing that Natsu could deal with MotherGlare and Rogue, I focused on helping the other wizards and especially the dragon slayers. Using my claws and my tail I slashed and destroyed the small dragons that MotherGlare had unleashed, however there was soon an explosion that caught my eye. Looking up I noticed the explosion was from Natsu, having consumed Atlas Flame's fire he combined it with his own magic to create a double strength attack. Filled with hope that we might actually beat these dragons I focus harder on destroying the smaller dragons knowing the dragon slayers can deal with the dragons. However I looked over and saw Rogue fall to the ground, opening my wings I quickly made my way over to him. Snarling I attacked the dragon who walk taunting him.

"Don't listen to him Rogue!" I yelled. "We are the ones who make our future, I know you might feel like the darkness will consume you but don't let it! I know that one day I'll become human again, but until then I'm going to keep fighting to change my future!"

The dragon began to attack me but I had the upper hand, for how long though I don't know. So I quickly opened my wings and pushed my body high into the sky.

"Apocalypse Dragon ROAR!" I yelled sending my attack at the dragon.

I then noticed Sting running over to Rogue, after talking with him they both combined their power and began to attack the dragon Rogue had been fighting. But then another dragon followed Sting, shaking my head I dove down and landed on top of the dragon, roaring loudly I bit down on it's neck. The dragon roared at me and used it's claws to claw at my underbelly, crying out I moved off it and collapsed into a building. The dragon looked down on me with an evil aura surrounding him, thinking I felt power surround my body as the dragon backed away from me.

"Apocalypse Dragon Wing Attack!" I yelled focusing my power into my wings to slash at the dragon.

Wasting no time I made my way towards the palace, crashing down near the Eclipse gate. Mirajane quickly made her way over to me and looked at my wounds, her eyes were filled with fear as she looked at me but I shook my head.

"I'm fine Mira." I said standing back up. "Keep helping Wendy!"

Wendy however looked over at me and sent a ball of air at me, it made all my pain go away and gave me my strength back. I tried to smile but don't know how it looked coming from a dragon, I had never really seen dad smile and even when I did he was in his human form. Looking back towards the town all I could hear was the cries of the people, I could feel anger burning inside of me as I listened to them.

"I just wish I knew how to help." I whispered looking at Zirconis as he roared loudly. "I might not know, but I can still try!"

With a roar I dove at Zirconis, ramming my head into his side I managed to distract him, he then looked at me confused.

"What are you doing Hatchling!" He yelled at me. "You should be eating these humans with me!"

"I would never eat humans! They are my friends, and I won't let you hurt them anymore!" I yelled standing up on my back legs and sending my claws deep into his back, tearing his wings.

"Brat!" He yelled snarling at me and attacking me back.

He managed to trip me with his tail causing me to fall on my back, fear filled me as he slammed his jaws around my neck. Blood gushed from my neck as my vision darkened, and the last thing I heard was Mirajane yelling my name.

However a split second later I was staring at Zirconis again, but I was confused. He had killed me, I know that for a fact but what happened? I was still alive?

"What happened?" I questioned.

"I don't know, but I saw you die Luna." Mirajane said landing on my back and resting a hand on my scales. "Someone must have cast a spell or something."

"I don't know, but now I have the upper hand. Hold on tight Mirajane!" I roared using my tail to slice a weak spot on Zirconis.

With Zirconis disabled for a second I looked over and saw Lucy running towards us, she was able to find clothes which is a relief. However in her hand is a small brown book, quickly running towards us she pants and holds the book tightly.

"Everyone! You have to see this!" Lucy yelled.

Lowering my head down I tried to read the cover of the book but there was no title, however Lucy seamed eager for us to read the book.

"It's my futures notebook!" Lucy said flipping through the book.

"Future Lucy's?" I questioned.

"Should the gates ever be destroyed in this time, the existence of I in the future, should also cease to exist as a result of a Chain Reaction Effect." Lucy read aloud.

Looking over I could see that Zirconis was starting to get riled up again, so Laxus and Wendy went to deal with him.

"What does that mean?" Arcadios asked.

"In other words, if the gates are destroyed now, we can alter the future to one that is bound to that one event." Lucy explained. "If the gates don't function in the future, Rogue has no way of coming to the past!"

"So if I understand this right, all we need to do is destroy the gate?" I asked looking at it. "Sounds like a job for a dragon in the Fairy Tail guild"

With a smirk on my face I turned towards the gate, guess I had something to destroy.

This should be fun.

Hi everyone! Sorry for taking so long to update this book! I've been caught up with University and Work, and have had other book ideas that I've wanted to work on since my flame kind of fizzled out on this book and didn't want to write something that I didn't enjoy posting. But I've found my love for it again so I'll try to complete this book for you all and make sure the chapters are worth it.
