Chapter 34

Luna POV:

It was getting late in the afternoon when Natsu and I decided to leave the park, today had been the best day ever. Its been nice because we've been able to just spend the day together not thinking about a new threat or even the games, its been just the two of us. I open my eyes and gaze up at the afternoon sun that was shining down on us, sitting up I look at Natsu who's been staring at me for a while.

"What, is there something on my face?" I ask rubbing my hand over my face.

"No, your just so beautiful. And I can't help but look at beautiful things." He says and runs his hand through my hair, pulling his hand back he shows me some grass that was in my hair.

"Thanks, I guess I fell asleep at some point." I say and stand up stretching.

"Anything you want to do today? We still have loads of time." He says standing up.

I think and then shrug my shoulders.

"I don't mind what we do, as long as I'm with you." I say wrapping my arms around his.

He links his fingers with mine and we begin to walk, the sun shining down on us making my skin tingle. As we leave the park I hear a soft song being played, its up beat and cheerful but it sounds soft because its about a mile away. I nudge Natsu and see if he can hear it too.

"Its a funfair, I'd say its about a mile and a half away. Wanna go?" He asks me with a huge grin.

"Sure, whats a funfair?" I ask as we begin to walk.

"Its got lots of rides, games, food stalls, craft stalls, food stalls...." He says listing all the different things you can do there.

"But won't we get motion sick? I didn't bring any potion out with me today." I say sighing.

"Thats the awesome part, because the Grand Magic Games all the rides are magic rides. They've done this because there are six dragon slayers here, and because we get motion sick." He says laughing. "It also helps the other people who get motion sick, or suffer from vertigo."

"Sounds amazing!" I yell giggling.

So we continue our walk to the funfair, the loud music fills my ears and the energy around is is incredible. Natsu points at the different rides that are scattered around and his eyes go as large as dinner plates when he see's all the different food, one ride that catches my eyes is the Dragon Carousel. The seats are different dragons of all shapes and sizes, I notice one that looks like dad and I give Natsu's arm a tug.

"Hey Natsu, can we go on that?" I ask pointing to the Carousel.

"Sure, I'll ride the red one and you ride the black one. Not very good likeness to dragons though are they." He says while we walk over to cue.

"No but the black one still reminds me of dad, does the red one remind you of Igneel?" I ask him as we climb on.

"Only by the colour, oh and this scar." He says pointing to a scar thats been painted onto the head of the dragon. "Dad had this scar from the day he found me, he told me he got into a fight with a wizard and he gave him the scar." 

As Natsu explains the ride bursts into action, wind whipping around us as we speed up. The carousel makes dragon roar noises and it feels like I'm flying with my dad again, I close my eyes and I can almost feel his hard scales under my hands, feel the heat from his body. I open my eyes and see Natsu has the same look on his face, he reaches his hand out to me and I reach mine out to him. We lock hands and then smile brightly at each other, the ride stops and we climb off. Natsu's hair is wild so I can only guess mine is too, we spend the rest of the day going through the different stalls and rides the fair has to offer. The moon rises in the sky and the stars begin to come out, Natsu buy's us some fries so we sit down on a bench eating them. This is the first time we've shared food, actually this is the first time I've seen Natsu share food with anyone.

"We could have bought two portions of fries Natsu, you didn't need to share with me if your really hungry." I say taking a bite of one with ketchup.

"I dont mind sharing with you Luna, it's ok. Besides once we get back to the inn I can pig out as much as I want." He says wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pulling me close.

After we finish our fries we sit gazing up at the sky, the wind begins to blow around us and I shiver slightly.

"Cold?" Natsu asks me.

"Yeah, a little. Guess I didn't think we'd be out this late." I say moving a little closer to him trying to feel his body heat.

"Here." He says pulling off his scarf and wrapping it around me.

"Natsu...." I say looking at the scarf.

"Dont worry, I'm a fire dragon slayer. I don't get that cold." He says smiling at me with his goofy grin.

I pull the scarf a little tighter around my neck and inhale the deep scent of the scarf, it smells like smoke and spices. A deep rich smell that warms me to the core, we stand up and then begin to walk back to the inn. Once we reach there he kisses me and then smiles.

"You head back up to the room, I'll be up later tonight. Want me to send someone up?" He asks me.

"Nah I should be fine, see you tonight Natsu. And thanks for a great night." I say and then head up the stairs to our room.

I run up the last couple of stairs and then run into the room, only to see Mirajane, Erza, Lucy, Wendy, Levy and Lisanna all looking at me with big grins.

"How was the date?" Mirajane asks and then looks at my neck. "He gave you his scarf?"

Everyone looks shocked at my neck as I walk to sit on my bed.

"What's wrong with me using Natsu's scarf?" 

"He never takes it off, ever since Igneel gave it to him. I can't believe he gave it to you Luna." Erza says looking at it.

So we sit together and I tell them everything that happened, Mirajane squeals when I mention the fountain and the wishes.

"What did you wish for?!" They yell at me.

I cross my arms over my chest and smile.

"Natsu said if I told anyone then the wish wouldn't come true, so sorry girls I'm not saying a word." I say and then lie down on my bed. "It was an amazing day, and now tomorrow is the last day of the games. How do you think this will play out?" I ask.

"Well the teams have changed for the last round of the games, the team will be Erza, Juvia, Grey, Laxus and Gajeel." Mirajane says. "Something has come up with the rest of us." 

I sit up and look at Mirajane as she explains everything, guess tomorrow will be harder than we thought.
