Chapter 26

Luna POV:

The rest of the day went without incident, until the battles started. The first battle was between Toby from Lamia Scale and Kurohebi from Raven Tail, the two stood ready and then decided to make a deal.

"I'll tell you my most precious secret if you tell me your name." Toby says.

"Very well." Kurohebi replies with a smirk.

Toby then waves his hand and sharp green claws appear and he begins to swipe them at Kirohebi to try and land a hit, but he's too slow and keeps missing. Kirohebi then does something that causes Toby to fall with tears falling from his eyes.

"I can't find my special sock..." Toby says with tears pouring down his face. "I don't know where I put it!"

Kirohebi then reaches to Toby's neck to pull off the sock that was hanging there, I stifle a small laugh and then am filled with anger. Kirohebi burns the sock to a crisp while Toby cries in sadness, with a smirk at the wailing half dog half human man Kirohebi walks back to the Raven Tail booth.

"How could he be so cruel! Toby did nothing wrong!" I yell in frustration.

"Don't worry Luna, hey check out who's fighting next." Erza says placing a hand on my shoulder to calm me.

"Elfman Strauss VS Bacchus Groh!" The announcer yells and I glance back at Elfman who has gone pale.

Walking over to him I place my tiny hand in his HUGE one, he looks at me with sweat obvious on his face.

"Don't worry Elfman, I know you'll do amazing. Give Fairy Tail a win." I say smiling, then whispering in his ear. "Why don't you make a small bet with Bacchus? Add some more entertainment."

He smiles at me then make his way down to the stadium floor, I glance over at Mirajane who waves for me to come over. I move from Fairy Tail Team A booth to Fairy Tail Team B booth sitting down next to Mirajane who wraps an arm around my shoulders.

"What did you tell him Luna?" She asks me before the battle begins.

"I told him that he'll be ok and to give fairy tail another win." I say leaving out the part about making a deal.

We sit and watch as Bacchus begins to swing his fists at Elfman, Elfman then changes into his Weretiger soul as the hits come raining down on him. Mirajane grabs my shoulder tightly as we watch so I fidget a little, I then notice Bacchus pick up a bottle type thing taking deep long swigs.

"Is this the right time to have a drink?" I ask.

"That is Bacchus's special type of attack, usually the method he uses is called the Chop Hanging-Palm. But when he drinks alcohol the attack turns into the Drunken-Chop Hanging Palm, which never fails to defeat anyone." Juvia says glancing anxiously at Elfman.

I gulp and then continue to watch, Bacchus then glances at me, Mira and Lisanna before speaking.

"Why don't we make a bet? If I win those three sisters of yours will come and spend time with me tonight?" He says drunkenly.

Mirajane and I glance at each other and then back to the battle, Elfman is really trying to hold his own as Bacchus begins to send his fists flying at him. He changes into his Lizard Man take-over and then pulls his large arms over his face to shield himself.

"I never said what I wanted if I win." He says with a slight smirk. play around right now Elfman!

"Well what ever it is I Promise *Hiccup* that you'll get it." Bacchus says stopping his rain of fists.

"If I win I want you to change your name from Quatro Cerberus to Quatro Puppy." Elfman says with a smirk.

Oh Crap...

"Why is he doing something like that?!" Mirajane asks me.

"Well, um I might have told him to add some more entertainment to the match...." I say scratching my head.

"YOU TOLD HIM WHAT?!" Mirajane yells at me as I sink into my chair.

I'm now at the wrath of the She Devil, watching Bacchus and Elfman fight I start to pull at the skirt of my dress. What was I thinking telling him to do that, I close my eyes and press my hands over my ears to try and drown out the noise of Eflman and Bacchus's fight. I feel my blood boil and feel angry at my self. I suddenly hear cheers of triumph, but I'm too scared to open my eyes. Feeling a hand on my shoulder I look to see who it is.

"Look Luna!" Mirajane yells at me.

Looking I notice that Elfman is standing with a fist held high and the crowd is cheering for him, but Bacchus is lying on the floor defeated. Wait a second!

"Congratulations to Elfman Strauss! Fairy Tail earns 10 points!" The announcer says with a flourish. "Also because of the bet that the two of them agreed on the team Quatro Cerberus will now be named Quatro Puppy!" 

We all follow Elfman to the infirmary and when we arrive he is covered head to toe in bandages, I walk over and wrap my arms around his neck being careful not to injure him more.

"Well done Elfman! You were amazing!" I say happily to him.

"She's right, we are grateful for how well you were during that match. Even if you were Lucy's reserve while she recovered from her battle, we will fight and can only hope that your spirit will encourage us to claim further victories." Erza says offering a small smile.

"Well I'm feeling much better now so I'll be ready to step back in." Lucy says pumping her fists.

We sit talking for a little and then walk back to the booth just in time for them to announce the next battle, Twilight comes walking over and I pick her up in my arms holding her tightly.

"I'm so glad your better!" I say holding her.

"It feels good to be better, that was a horrible experience that I would not like to repeat." She says with  a small smile. "Would you look at that." She says and points to the arena.

"The next battle today will be between to beauties! Mirajane Strauss and Jenny Realight!"
