Chapter 24

Luna POV:

I opened my eyes and looked at the bed next to me, Lucy was fast asleep after her battle with Flare from Raven Tail. Its been a long first day, Porlyusica gave me the once over after I slept for a little and she told me I could head back to the accommodation. Walking in Elfman, Lisanna and Mirajane came running over to me smiling happily.

"Are you ok lil sis? That was a manly battle." Elfman asks me sitting down next to me in the restaurant at our accommodation.

"Yeah I'm ok, dad trained me to be tough so..." I say smiling.

"Yeah but you fought against Jura! One of the ten wizard saints! What was it like?!" Lisanna asks excitedly.

"It was amazing, I mean he's a wizard saint! I've loved learning about them since I was little and actually being able to fight with one was just a privilege, we didn't actually treat it like a fight it was more like we were playing with each other." I say thinking about the match.

"I always knew that you would over power me sooner or later." Mirajane says giving my shoulder a squeeze.

"Um Mira, there was something I wanted to ask you. In private..." I ask playing with a strand of my hair.

"Oh ok, lets go to my room with my team. Everyone should be down here by now." She says taking my hand and leading me to her room.

I walk in and sit down on one of the beds, sighing my hand goes to my back.

"I noticed something Mirajane...its on my dragon tattoo." I say turning around to show her.

She walks over and places a hand on the mark, when I was showering earlier after the fight I noticed that small white and blue dragon scales have been growing out from it. She starts stroking the mark and my new scales and then sighs at me.

"Luna, there is something I didn't tell you." She says sighing.

"I also have something to tell you too...." I say turning to face her.

"You go first Luna." 

"Well, do you remember when I was in the stadium infirmary? I had a dream about my dad." I start. "He told me that bad things were to come and that only my magic combined with celestial spirit magic could stop everything from happening, and I could only help if I used the dragon force." I say looking away from her.

"Don't you dare use the dragon force Luna!" She yells at me gripping my shoulders tightly.

"Mira, your hurting me..." I whisper squirming.

"If you use the dragon force then you'll turn into a dragon!" She yells with tears in her soft blue eyes. "I can't let that happen to you! I know Elfman and Lisanna feel the same way, we lost you once and then you came back! Promise me you won't use it!" She wraps her arms tightly around me.

We sit there for a couple of minutes while she cries, at some point Gajeel and Juvia came in and just sat there silently watching us.

"I'm going to my room now Mirajane...But I promise that I won't ever leave ok?" I say and then tie my long white and blue hair into a high pony tail. "Keep an eye on her for me, ok?" I ask to Gajeel and Juvia before I run to my room.

I run in and throw my self down on my bed, I'd tried to stay strong for Mirajane but now that I'm alone the tears fall like rivers down my face. I tuck my self into a ball and sob, I don't know how long I cried for until I felt someone place a hand on my back. Right on my scales. The person sits next to me and rubs my back in comfort.

"What happened Luna?" Natsu asks me.

"I can't use the dragon force...can I...." I whisper and he sits me up.

Gazing into my eyes he pulls me close pressing his forehead to mine.

"You can't ever use it Luna, it would be a full body take-over. You've never used that so you might not be able to control it, I can't loose you...And I know your siblings feel the same way..." He says and then pulls me a little closer.

Locking his lips onto mine.

It felt like fire was flowing through my veins, my whole body felt like it was connected with his. We sat in the moonlight for about five minutes before we broke the kiss, he then looks at me and smiles. I blush uncontrollably and then smile at him.

"I hope Mirajane won't kill me for that, in fact the whole Strauss family might be trying to break downtime door right now." Natsu says laughing slightly.

I smile at him and we then both lie down on my bed, he wraps his arms around my waist pulling me close into his chest. I hold onto his black and gold jacket and sigh happily, I take a sniff inhaling his scent. Smoke and Spices. We lie there in the moonlight and I feel my eyes become heavy, but I don't want the moment to end so I try to keep my eyes open for as long as I can.

"Go to sleep Luna, I'll be right here when you wake up." Natsu says stroking my scales on my back. "I have to say, these scales are awesome." He laughs slightly.

"Night Natsu..." I whisper and then fall asleep.

Natsu POV:

Luna drifts off to sleep in my arms and I couldn't be happier, we kissed...I hear the door creak open and I see Mirajane walking into the room, everyone else must still be at the bar drinking the night away. Mira squeals when she see's us together but I then shush her because I don't want Luna to wake up.

"Natsu." Mirajane whispers sitting down on the chair by the window.

"Yeah?" 

"Take care of her for me, when she first came back she was harsh and cold. Probably because she wasn't raised in the guild or with many people she could trust, she needs someone like you who can relate to her. When we were in the infirmary she was talking in her sleep, she was yelling at village people telling them she wasn't evil like they thought her father was. It broke my heart, we still don't know what happened to her all those years. Please just promise me that you will take care of her like she was something precious to you." Mirajane asks.

"She is precious to me Mira..." I say showing her the charm I got her. "I haven't felt this way about anyone and I feel it inside me that I have to protect her, even if it means loosing my life." I say holding Luna tightly in my arms.

"I knew you two would be cute together, ever since the boat after Tenrou Island." Mirajane says and then holds my hand. "Thank you for taking care of Luna." 

She walks out of the room and then the others walk in, Lucy, Erza, Grey and Happy.

"Well would you look at that, the pyro has a girlfriend!" Grey whispers laughing.

"Grey leave him, he's caring about someone." Lucy says smirking at me.

Everyone sits down and then falls asleep until its just me awake, gazing at Luna I kiss her lips once more before falling asleep my self.

"Your Precious To Me..." I whisper before sleep claims me.
