True Love!!!! (Editing! Slowly....)

Chapter 10

    Before anyone else could move my Mom and I bolted for the door. She was literally jumping up and down with excitment that you would think he was her boyfriend and she was in love with him! And to think that she hasn't met him yet.... I wonder. Will she become worse now that she will? Probably.... Oh, well...

   Mom stayed behind me as i opened the door. He stood there looking stressed but smiling. He was wearing jeans and a shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and he looked good.... I think I heard my Mom give a sigh. What?!

   "Hi! Come on in!" I said with a smile and he came in and my Mom stepped forward. "Hello, Alex. I'm Iris' Mother,Kathy. Nice to meet you!" she said smiling and extending him her hand.    

He took it and shook it. "Hello, Mrs. Stewart, I'm happy to finally meet you, Iris has told me a lot about you. You look like her older sister to be honest." he said and that caused a small blush to appear in my Mother's cheeks.

      "Well, Alex, you're quite handsome and quite the charmer  I see." she told him. He simply smiled and gave her some flowers then as he released her hands. "This is for you, Mrs. Stewart. And these are for you." He told me and gave me flowers, too. Sunflowers.  This caused me to blush like my Mom did and more because he also kissed my cheek.

   "Let's go to the living room. Dinner will be redy shortly." Mom said and we followed her into the living room. As soon as we walked in Grandma tackled him to a hug.

    When she pulled back she looked him up and down and said "Hello, Alex. I'm so happy to see you again and don't you look dashing?" she said and this time Alex blushed while my Dad and Logan held back their snickers but my Dad was also examining him.

   "It's nice to see you, too Mrs..." He said but she cut him off with a raise of her brow. He blushed some more. "Grandma Penny. You look marvelous and these are for you." he said and gave her some petunias. He gave my Mom margaritas.

     Dad stepped up then as Grandma went to get her flowers in a vase taking mine too and Mom followed her giving me a wink as she walked out and I blushed but rolled my eyes. "Nice to meet you, Alex. I'm Robert Stewart, Iris' Father." Dad said extending his hand to Alex.

 Alex smiled at him, looking at him straight in the eyes and taking his hand and shaking it firmly. Dad smiled and he raised an eyebrow. "Nice to meet you, Sir. Iris has told me a lot about you." he said. "Please, have a seat." I said and gestured to the couch.

 Everyone sat down. Logan took me to sit in an armchair and he sat next to me and Dad took the third armchair, that left Alex to the couch. And he will be sandwitched by my Mom and Grandma.... I kinda feel guilty.

He just smiled kindly and took his seat. That's when Mom and Grandma returned and sat in either side of him.

   "So, Alex. Iris told us that you'll go to College this year in Chicago, NW. For Marketing, correct?" Dad asked him with a raised eyebrow.

   "Indeed, Mr. Stewart. I want to know more about the subject and find a job on it but if I don't like it at the same time I'll be taking classes for engennering like my friend. We'll be together there." Alex said calmly and with a small smile. Mom and Grandma smiled happily.

   Soon dinner was served and still they questioned him. He talked about sports, politics, history with both my parents and Logan and Grandma and all.

  My Mom embarassed me some to him-like his Mom and sister had done to him. It's only fair to take it double like he did. Grandma already had her turn so now my Mom had hers.

    When he left Mom hugged me -almost suffocated me, actually- and said to me. "He is so handsome, smart, charming, kind. He is perfect for you. Better than that boyfriend of yours." and that caused me to blush. "Mom, we're only friends." I said simply.

   And she snorted and rolled her eyes and Grandma, Dad and Logan had the same reaction. "That boy is in love with you, sweetie. And he is better than that guy you're dating." Dad said.

   "I approve of him." he said simply and winked at me. Logan snickered "We all do. He is better than that jerk you are with at the moment. He is in love with you and you are in love with him, but  you're both blind and pretend to be buddies! You're both stupid! But I guess you'll both figure it out in due time. Oh, well. But no matter what we all like him and approve of him." he said simply.

 Sometimes he can be so smart and observant but I doubt that Alex has that sort of feelings for me.

  I texted Amy and Jennie and they sent me this -both of them- "*HAPPY DANCE* *BOUNCING WITH HAPPINESS* :-)"

  They are impossible but they had me laughing. And I was happy with how things went today with my family and Alex....
