Chapter 13

    "Where are they?!" Amy and Jennie said at the same time. I swear sometimes it's like they have it planned or something to talk together, it's pretty funny!

    Logan chuckled and then he sobered up because they turned to glare at him! Well, Jennie glared at him and Amy glared at him while blushing. I'm gonna play cupid for them! That's my mission this year!  Yay!!! Now I'm happy!

    "He's right over there. The blonde guy is his friend Nate and the girl is his little sister, Kate." I said pointing at them as I started moving towards them. Amy and Jennie looked at their direction and their mouths hit the sand and their eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.

     It was really funny. Both me and Logan started laughing. Then Alex noticed us and he smiled. I smiled brightly at him. "You've got to be kidding!!!!! They're both HOT! And his sister is super cute!!!" Jennie said. Amy just blushed but nodded. "Relax!!!" I said as we kept walking towards them.

      When we reached them, I ignored Alex while his friend Nate looked at us and moved to Kate, who was smiling. "Hello! I missed you so much!" I said hugging her. She giggled and hugged me back. "Missed you, too." she said.

    When I pulled back she shoved me into a chest and hands shot out and around me to a crushing hug. "You'll pay for that!" he said with a small growl in my ear in a whisper and I giggled. When I pulled away I turned and streched up and kissed his cheek. "Hi, there, TALL PERSON!" I said emphasizing the last two words. He narrowed his eyes at me, glaring. "Hello yourself, shortie!" he said back with an evil grin. We kept glaring at each other.

   And then his friend Nate cleared his throat. I turned to look at him. He had a teasing smile and glint in his eyes. Alex cleared his throat and straightened his back. "Sunshine, Logan, girls, this is my best friend Nate Knight. Nate, this is Iris Stewart, her brother, Logan and her friends. I haven't been introduced to them yet, either." he said.

    "Nice to meet you all. Especially you, Iris. Now I know why Alex is..." but he was cut off by Alex punching his arm and glaring at him.

     Kate snickered and so did my friends. "Pleased to meet you, Nate. I heard a lot about you, too. This is my brother Logan and my two best friends. Amy Flowers and Jennie Nelson. Girls, this is Alex Thorne and his little sister Kate Thorne and his best friend Nate Knight." I said pointing to each person.

    They all said their hello's and all. And then Jennie moved closer to Nate. "So, are we gonna swim or are we gonna stay here and stare at each other?" she said to all of us with her hands to her hips and raising an eyebrow challengingly.

     Amy and I rolled our eyes as Logan, Alex and Nate chuckled and Kate stared at her with an eyebrow raised. Watching her standing close to Nate and Nate watched her watching him, trying to see her reaction.

    I smiled brightly!

   I'll play cupid for them, too! Two couples. But I'll need Alex's approval for this one. Easy. Puppy dog eyes and pouting. He'll fall for it. He's nice and he'll want his best friend and little sister to be happy. Together, even though it's his little sister and it'll need some getting used to.

     We went for a swim. Playing beach volley afterwards, cards-Jennie brought her deck, waterproof. Ate ice cream, teased each other and laughed at random things. Shared stories and opinions. It was so fun.

      We didn't realize it was late at night until Alex's Mom called to check they were ok because it was techinically passed the curfew for Kate. But because she was with Alex, Nate, Logan and us they bent the rules a little. 

   Jennie had realized that Nate liked Kate and Kate liked Nate and that's why she stayed close to him, flirting. Kate was practically fuming.

 As for Logan and Amy? They're heading in the right direction! Yay!

And as for me and Alex? We talked, bickered and laughed.

 It was so fun!!!
