Mainly a filler chapter, so we can move on to the better part of the story. Enjoy!

"What have you found so far, then?"
Charlie asked as you both walked into the boys' room.

"Not a whole lot, honestly. We need to get out there and talk to the locals and people that might have seen the missing peoples last." Dean said with an air of authority.

"Right, then. I have my laptop and we have an arson in the trunk. Let's get this done." Sam piped up.

Cas seemed to be feeling better at this point, as he tagged along in the back of the Impala while you and Charlie took your car once again.

"At least we have separate cars with enough space to house us all if we end up being somewhere too long." Charlie seemed to be going through the pros and cons of driving round in two cars while you were all here. "I mean, you could put the back seats down and you, me and Cas could sleep in the boot, while the lads sleep in their car. It would be perfect... I mean, perfect if we were put into that situation."

You nodded your head in agreement, your mind suddenly thinking back to just last night when you were sleeping right beside her. Your bodies dangerously close and suddenly you became curious. "So you would like us to be in that situation? Is that what you're saying?"

Charlie suddenly turned bright red, realising what she'd just said, "Umm.. I mean... I just- I wouldn't- like- it wouldn't be too bad, right? I mean, like, camping in a car, right? Sounds cool, sounds great, sounds fun, not in any way weird or indecent, right? Totally plausible fun night with friends. Fun friend camp night, right?" She was rambling, talking at a pretty high speed. You'd never seen her like this before and so you didn't know how to react.

"Okay, Charlie. I'm going to be honest. You're scaring me at the moment. Are you okay?" You asked skeptically.

"What do you mean 'are you okay?'? I'm great, I'm brilliant, I'm just.. Peachy." She replied, suddenly catching her breath with the last word and then going silent all together.

You decided you enjoyed the silence a little more than a rather scary rambling from Charlie, so you dropped the subject and turned on a little bit of music to keep the conversation from going anywhere for the rest of the journey.

An hour and a half had passed and you were finally slowing down behind the Impala. Pulling up alongside a house.

You all got out of the cars, putting your IDs into the inside pocket of your suit jacket.

"Okay, so this is Maria Jonston's sister's place. She was the person to see Maria last and she is the most recent missing person, so hopefully we can get something from her that we can work from." Dean filled us in.

"Now, get this; next door is Marcus Hutton's parents' place, yet another recent missing person, so we were thinking: you guys could go talk to Maria's sister while we go and talk to Marcus' parents. Sound good?" Sam chipped in.

"But I wanted to go and talk to the hot chick..." Dean grumbled. You all looked at him, silently telling him to act professional. "Whatever. Stupid." He mumbled under his breath.

"Yeah, sounds great." Charlie said. "You good with this Y/N?"

"Yeah, we'll be all good. Let's see what they have to say, shall we?" You replied, confidence flowing out of you.

This may be your first case, but you were already handling it like a pro. Everyone seemed impressed with your confidence and so, you and Charlie made your way up to Maria's sister's, while the boys went on to Marcus' parents' place with Dean dragging his feet like a child that couldn't get their way at the store.

You and Charlie had a nice long chat with Maria. You were sympathetic towards her and listened to everything she had to say, the conversation went smoothly, even though the sister, Zara, was very obviously shook up she handled answering every question well.
She believed her sister to still be alive and so you were also positive in light of this, since you believed the same. You didn't comfort her because she didn't need comforting, she even said that her sister may probably just be hiding away at a friend's for a bit, so you kept your mind open.
You soon had all the info you needed. You thanked her for her time and you and Charlie left the house. The boys hadn't come back out, yet, so you decided you would get out your notebook and jot down the important bits of information Zara had just told you, since you'd pulled a complete rookie move and left it in the car.

"You know, apart from the whole 'forgetting your notepad' thing, you were a complete pro in there. I hardly got a word in edge-ways most of the time. You did really well for your first interview!" Charlie complimented you, smiling.

"Wow, Charlie. Thanks. That's so sweet of you to say." You smiled back at her, feeling blush creep up on your cheeks and then mentally scolding yourself for it.

Soon enough the boys emerged from the Hutton house and you saw Sam giving them the 'we have everything, we'll do as much as we can' talk before thanking them for their time and walking up to your car.

"How long were you guys in there?" Dean asked you.

"About an hour. She talked for a while before we got to the questions." You replied.

"You got through everything in an hour? Wow, Charlie. Did you read her mind or something and then just walk out?" Dean asked incredulously.

"Not me. Y/N. She took over the situation and asked the questions. She was really professional. I had the rug completely obliterated from under me. Never saw it coming." Charlie talked you up and you believed the blush was now going to be a permanent pigment of your cheeks.

All eyes were suddenly cast to you, with mouths agape. Except Charlie who was, instead, giving you the biggest, hottest smirk you'd ever seen. You felt yourself heating up from the look and instead cast your own eyes to your lap.

"It wasn't that amazing.." You tried to move the attention from yourself, sorely failing.

"Like I said before; I couldn't get a word in edge-ways. You were on fire, girl!" Charlie chuckled and you thought you'd pass out from the heat you were suddenly feeling.

"Right, so if you're done with the flirting..." Cue the daggers from the two of you, "Did you guys actually get any info on the girl?" Dean finally got to the point of the case.

"She'd told her sister that she was going out with some friends to check out one of the old mills. Said there's a rumour that one of them is haunted." Charlie answered.

"But any one of them could be haunted. Hell, all of them could be haunted, as far as we know!" Dean yelled, visibly aggravated.

"Yeah, that's what we said, but then she told us that there was one mill in particular. There is a local legend that a worker had gone mad and went to the mill as he would for work any other day... Thirty-five years before. There were some kids in there, snooping around and the guy just lost it. Chased them around the building with some rusty old shears left about and killed each one of them, so now everyone thinks that there are evil spirits in there and obviously, that then makes the place rather popular for other kids with nothing to do." You retold them the story you were told just minutes before.

"Did she tell you exactly which mill this was?" Sam asked.

"No, she couldn't remember which one her sister had said it was." You answered.

"Right, then. Let's go find some local yokels and see if they have a tale to tell." Dean piped up, walking round to the Impala and getting in.

Soon enough, you started up your engine and followed the boys through town once again.
