*whispers* I'm sorry ^

You were able to get a couple of hours sleep before the sun peeked in through the windows of the motel. It was 2:45 am by the time you and Castiel finished getting in touch with as many hunters and allies as you could and it was 5:30am as the sun seared its light through your eyelids. You cursed the sun and attempted covering your face with the blanket only to realise that Charlie had the majority of it tucked between her legs, cuddling a corner that came up to almost meet her chest. Giving up without a fight, you swiped your eyes of sleep and got ready before cooking every last bit of bacon, sausage, beans and toast left in the fridge for breakfast. It didn't take long for everyone in the room to wake up, Dean and Cas joining minutes later. No arguing this time. Dean looked every bit as tired as you guessed he felt. Quieter than ever before, hardly having the energy to lift his eyes to silently take part in any small conversation taking place. Once finished with his breakfast he began to stand, Cas immediately fluttering to his side, helping him stay vertical and leading him out into his motel room.

Charlie looked to you and you looked back to her. Both of you were worried for him. You knew Cas would keep an eye on him, but you couldn't imagine the torment going through his mind right now. His own brother isn't with him. Even worse, his brother has been changed into a monster. Again. You felt dizzy just imagining living the kind of lives the Winchester boys' stories say they have. You shook your head to try and physically rid the thoughts from your mind.

Once everyone had finished breakfast, you and Charlie washed up as the teens cleaned themselves up, readying themselves to leave. You were happy seeing these kids talking a little more freely now and being able to smile, grateful to be alive. You knew it wouldn't always be perfect for them, but hoped they'd be glad to continue living their lives as you all packed into your car.

One by one you drove each kid home. Only a few out of many, but progress is progress and you felt no doubt that you and the others will aid in helping many others get back home to their families.

"Let's go back there." Charlie suddenly spouted as you were driving back to the motel from the store after buying more supplies than was usually necessary for your group. She'd been silent the whole time, so it caught you by surprise to suddenly hear her voice beside you.

"Go back where?" You raised an eyebrow with your eyes still on the road, worried where she was going with this.

"Back to the mill. We can try to find a different way in and get some more kids out of there and hopefully get Sam back." How did I guess.

"I understand your sentiment, Charlie, but don't be ridiculous." Charlie didn't seem to like your wording with the face she made. "Think about it. Even if we find another way in and get some more kids out, we don't know how a Djinni would react to finding more gone. It could kill all of them and begin taking more and ending them far faster out of fear or it could find us, kill us and then hunt the kids back down again. A million different things could happen that won't be good and that's before we even begin to think about getting Sam back. We can't do this alone. Even five of us were hardly enough and now there's an even stronger Djinni in there. We need to be careful and get everything done at once." Her expression tightened at this, realising you were right.

"But we are the only hunters around here. We only have ourselves to see this through." Charlie's voice quivered with worry.

"That won't be true for long." Charlie looked at you, questioning you with her eyes, but no explanation was needed as you pulled into the motel car park and saw many more vehicles parked than before. You smiled. "Cavalry's here!"
