Chapter 2:

After we have walked for awhile I stop.

"Tobias, maybe this is a bad idea." I say.

"Tris," he looks into my eyes, " I just don't know."

He takes my hands, "What do you think?"

"I think we should go back. Think about this Tobias! Where will we go? What food will we eat?" I ask.

He shrugs, "Okay. Lets go back if that's what you want."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." he smiles.

"Tobias..." I trail off.

"What?" He asks.

"I just.."

"What!?" He laughs.

"I love you so much."

"I love you too, Tris."

He leans down and kisses me softly.

"And also.." I say.

I reach out my hand and tap his arm.

"You're it!"

I dash away the way we came and he follows, laughing.

Finally, he catches me and tags me back.

I kiss him and we laugh about my idiocy for awhile.

"Tobias, I know I asked this before. But why do you love me? I'm not pretty at all. I'm mean. I'm very short. I just don't get it.." I say.

"Tris, you are pretty. That time I said you weren't, that was a joke. Tris, you're beautiful." He says. "Also, you're not mean. You're just tough, like me."

I smile, "Thank you, Tobias."

He grabs my hand and our fingers intertwine. We make our way back to O'Hare.

We are finally back. After eating lunch, Tobias and I find Christina and Cara.

"Tris?" Christina calls. "Tris, what the hell! I thought you left!"

I laugh, "Tobias and I just decided to come back."

She smiles, "Well, that's good. We are going to need good fighters." Her smile quickly fades.

"Why?" I ask, her frown moving to my face.

"You haven't heard?" She asks. "The factionless have declared war on us, Tris."
